For the weekend of 16/17 February 2008 the National Trust offered us 'Hidden Castle Drogo' - a chance to see 'behind the scenes' at the castle.
Because of the nice weather, something like 400 people turned up, rather than the 80 which the NT had anticipated. This required hurried changes of plan on their part and a one-and-a-half hour wait on ours.
Was it worth? Undoubtedly.
Well done, National Trust (on this occasion).
I like this photo because of how defiant his profile is. I had to crop it a little because his head looked deformed from all the creases and different layers of the windowsill.
The shadows of the tall buildings in Minato Mirai cast shadows on the city below. From Landmark Tower, Yokohama, on the first sunrise of 2008.

The stage is rather small at Trees in Dallas and when you are sharing the stage with equipment from other bands, space is at a premium. So Ed, Shadows Fall touring bassist, had to play the entire gig on an elevated deer stand.
Weather was fantastic for creating shadows at Fountains Abbey today. I like the stripes from the cut grass as well.
Low evening sun light cast a long shadow of yours truely on the beached boat at low tide at the jetty in Sewri, which is a suburb on the eastern side if Mumbai
I loved the abstract shadows during sunset.
