was hoping to get lots of people and a building so i could try the tilt/shift suggestion from my get pushed partner, but i got distracted by the shadows ~grin~
Here, again, is another shot of the massive shadow cast by the massive Mr. Oak Tree. Hdr really defines the shadow and the colors of the field. You can see some noise/blur at the very top of the picture - it's very hard to take hand held bracketed shots for hdr.
In the shadows of tall buildings
Of fallen angels on the ceilings
Oily feathers in bronze and concrete
Faded colors, pieces left incomplete
The line moves slowly past the electric fence
Across the borders between continents
In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home
And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is
In the shadows of tall buildings
The architecture is slowly peeling
Marble statues and glass dividers
Someone is watching all of the outsiders
The line moves slowly through the numbered gate
Past the mosaic of the head of state
In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home
And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is
In the shadows of tall buildings
Of open arches endlessly kneeling
Sonic landscapes echoing vistas
Someone is listening from a safe distance
The line moves slowly into a fading light
A final moment in the dead of the night
In the cathedrals of New York and Rome
There is a feeling that you should just go home
And spend a lifetime finding out just where that is
-"cathedrals" by jump little children

Noticed this strange effect when holding my glasses under the spotlights - could illustrate the phrase "he looked daggers at...." perhaps?
This was just about the final act of the day after a few beers and a super trip to Bodnant Gardens and around. This was taken in Conwy harbour.
Weather was fantastic for creating shadows at Fountains Abbey today. I like the stripes from the cut grass as well.
Here is a picture of a candle holder casting a shadow for the shadow topic of the exploring photography club.
I loved the abstract shadows during sunset.

Shadow cast made from the windows of the stairwell in Timberline lodge. The window had funky lines, which the sun cast on the carved walls. Thoguht the lighting and contrast was pretty cool
