this time nobody asked, but i thought i'd go ahead anyway and show how i do these ragged white borders. this is not the only way to do it, and is not even the only way i do it (some other variations are in my on the border set), but in case there's anybody who both cares and has not already figured it out (a narrow intersection, i'd guess), this gives the basic idea.
This is a picture of two people walking and their shadows. I like this photo because it is not super obvious that the shadows are people because they look a little funny because of the view I took the photo from.

Submitted to the group Macro Mondays. The theme this week is "It's all about the shadow."
The shadow from the skylight took on the image of an eagle. Taken in Terminal H of Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
Every picture has its shadows
And it has some source of light
Blindness, blindness and sight
The perils of benefactors
The blessings of parasites
Blindness, blindness and sight
Threatened by all things
Devil of cruelty
Drawn to all things
Devil of delight
Mythical devil of the ever-present laws
Governing blindness, blindness and sight

Had an amazing ride this morning while my boy had rowing training. The sun seemed to hang on the horizon all morning and I found a new park with lots of gravel and singletrack through beautiful native bush. When cycling is this good two hours is just not long enough.

The weather is improving - the nights are longer - so more doggie shots :-)
Also in the parking lot this morning... The shapes, colors, shadows, and reflections of and on cars are so tempting! 8-)

Having waaaay too much fun with my new hipstamatic app for the iphone. I took a long ramble with my dog, and kept finding shadows to play with.
Note the directions of the shadows. Both of these are shadows of sunlight, but neither of these shadows is from the direction of the sun. Both are from reflections from buildings.
Lurking in the back streets of Liverpool are the shadow warriors. Such simple forms by day, transform into intricate and complicated shadow warriors by night, clashing with the darkness that is all around us.
This is the backside of the Ingham Institute. A technically challenging shot as it was taken as a pano from about 30cm above the ground and only standing about 1.5m from that fence. This shot is extremely distorted. 3 frames shot on the 10-22mm lens at 22mm.

I recently watched the film 'The third man", a true lesson in shadows and light and an inspiration. This shot I took at the Saatchi museum in Chelsea, London, well worth a visit - and they do not mind you taking in your camera, but must leave your bag at the cloakrooms. It is very safe so no worries there.
An old style bike fastened to a lamp post and low fence. For Fence Friday.
In the very old days you even needed a permit to cykle in town.
Your bike had to have a number plate, but you don't need one now. It finished in the late1950s, but you still see the odd bike with its numberplate. (In Sweden)
Day 213 - Shadow play
Today it was time again for a game. Together with my friend Timmy I hid myself. Oliver had to look for us... Oliver is not stupid, and found us very quickly. Do you have tips for a good hiding place? Tomorrow we drive to Hamburg. The weather should be good :)
