7820 Dinmore Manor away from Gotherington with the ex.13:50 sevice train from Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse. GWSR Saturday 23rd March 2024.
Having ran one way only for almost a year, the 8A now has a return journey built in running at the time of the busiest 4 sevice once run although because of the two year gap and poor publicity most of the passengers that used that busy run have been lost.
Again the bus does operate from the City Centre but runs dead from Hoburn Junction to ARI having come off the 17B service then at Dubford runs dead to Ashwood to become the evening 2.

LTE is a frequent, though not regular, customer in the Amsterdam harbor area to pick up new loads of coal. The last mile traction is often performed by Volker Rail. So LTE may be the face of this sevice on the mainlines, in the harbor they aren't the regular one hauling the train.
On tuesday the 8th of march I was in the Amsterdam Houtrakpolder area. I had just passed the level crossing, in my mind knowing that if I’d see a coal train at the nearby new Rietlanden terminal, I could make a picture somewhere when it would leave. However, when I took a short break I noticed a coal train already coming my way. As fast as I could, which wasn’t that fast, I got back to the level crossing, got my camera out, and made a picture with no more than a couple of seconds to spare. As the train driver would have to operate the crossing’s lights manually, I moved a bit further in order to make a picture on the other side of the road. Luckily the driver wasn’t hurrying, so I got my pole out and I was just in time again when I made the second picture of the day. The train would continue further towards the Westhaven yard, where LTE would pick it up and head for Germany.
Recently painted into the new Shearings livery, a Neoplan N2216SHD of Weardale Motor Sevices is seen on tour at Stornoway. New as OU17 OTX with Parkers of Annfield PLain.
Lifting off from the 23 end of the main at RAF Lossiemouth after a short stop is this now ageing French Air Force (Armee de lair) C160 Transall transport aircraft. Nice to see one of these as they are getting rare as age creeps up and the A4ooM Atlas comes into French Military sevice as its replacement.
At the far end of Garrison Street, close to Landor Street Junction, the warning sign hasn't been heeded. A wrecked and vandalised Renault was just part of the scene of neglect, along with graffiti and plenty of rubbish. Probably not wise to visit in the hours of darkness, it didn't feel too good in daylight either.

According to wikipedia this is Great Britain's only remaining cable operated street tramway and one of few surviving in the world. It takes passengers from Llandudno Victoria Station to just below the summit of the Great Orme headland. Operation of the tramway differs from the better-known San Francisco system in that it is not a cable car but a rather on the funicular principle, where the cars are permanently fixed to the cable, and are stopped and started by stopping and starting the cable. As one car is ascending, the other is descending, and they meet midway. The line comprises two sections, where each section is an independent funicular and passengers change cars at the halfway station. Whilst the upper section runs on its own right of way and is very similar to many other funicular lines, the lower section is an unusual street running funicular, similar to Lisbon’s Glória, Bica, and Lavra funiculars. I was going to do a tribute to the 8,000+ Australian diggers we lost on this day 25th April 1915 at Gallipoli however my husband has his medals on him as he was in a dawn service this morning at Newcastle.. So..
My thoughts are with those who lost family members at that terrible time and for those who have family in the sevices at this current time.. I wish them safety always..
Seen on service 4 in Newton Mearns in Lanarkshire uni livery before lettering applied...The bus will also be transferred from Caledonia depot to Blantyre depot once the new uni sevice starts.

Recorded passing through Sissach en route south from Basel, former Austrian Federal Railways Ae 1042 041 had charge of a block train of 13 Romanian registered Uagps cereal hoppers. The locomotive is a member of the Swiss based Widmer Rail Services AG [WRS] fleet and the wagons are owned by Rolling Stock Company SA based in Bucharest, Romania. I had assumed the train was heading for Italy via the Simplon route with a consignment of cereal traffic but a further recorded sighting 2 days later would indicate otherwise.
The train was in fact moving imported cereal for animal feed production to both Sursee and Herzogenbuchsee.

Railway Station and canal. The Leeds -liverpool canal was completed 200yrs ago and transformed transport of materials and goods in the Industrial Revolution especially coal that powered the mills. 60yrs later the Railway boom swept through Britain. The rail route runs parallel to the canals in many places. Eventually the canal trade died and now the canals are a fantastic leisure resource. In Feb 2017 for the first time a sheduled mainline steamtrain sevice ran for 3 days from Skipton to Appleby over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. The Tornado Pacific class loco was built from scratch using original engineering drawings 8yrs ago. It was dusk when it pulled into the station and my Rolleiflex 3.5 only had 4 frames of 100 tmax left so not ideal to cature much!

The Verrazano Narrows Bridge is a double decked suspension bridge that connects the boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York City at the Narrows. It was named for the Italian explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano the first known navigator in the sevice of the French crown to enter NY Harbor and Hudson River and for the body of water it spans - the Narrows.
142056 approaches Warrington Bank Quay with a Liverpool to Chester sevice. 16/7/94. This is the only shot I ever took from this position. Shame it wasn't something more exciting than a Pacer, although I suppose this has some historical value, given that Pacers are no longer with us. I haven't got many shots of them in Merseyrail livery either.
