This would have been an ideal time to do somthing with the antiquated LC and underpass at Manningtree station but as usual no joined up thinking just fire fighting.
My wife and I had a recent appointment in Aberdeen. Thanks to Aberdeen City Council's (ludicrous) bus lane/gate scheme it is now almost impossible to drive in the city without being fined (£1 million+ in fines collected from the scheme's first few months seems testament!) and having fallen foul myself, now refuse to take my car to Aberdeen. With the limited train sevice times unsuitable we ended up on the express bus service(which I have to say was far better than expected). I spent almost the entire journey head down reading. However at one point I looked up and spotted a scene I thought would make a decent image. Fast forward a couple of days and Rob rang to suggest a day out with the cameras. A little Google Map research put us roughly in the right area around the Glens of Foundland and with reasonably favourable weather conditions, I was able to capture the scene spotted from the bus; intriguing patterns and shapes of the hillside fields, a lovely colourful border of wild flowers (Rosebay Willow Herb?) and a conveniently placed ruined bothy to anchor the scene.

Lodges Daf Wright Commander arrives at High Easter on the 18 service from Chelmsford to Great Dunmow. Not sure if it is a wind up but because this village and Good Easter have a religious meaning and that offends some people, the names will have to be changed! I bet Christchurch is worried!

Ipswich Buses have taken over the 615 service from Suffolk Norse a week early. Here on a dull February morning Scania Omnicity SGZ 3347 comes through Stutton past the War memorial (just out of sight). This service and the return to Ipswich are now back in the timetable, but because of Covid 19 Suffolk Norse restricted the service to School children only. The bus seems to be sitting up on its rear end!

Back in the days of BR, whilst sectorisation was beginning to creep in there was still a willingness to divert trains on a Sunday instead of resorting to the Rail Replacement Bus service Cross country sevices were often diverted away from their booked route. This is more difficult now due the route knowledge not being kept on the various diversionary routes that was required in those days.

I`m not sure if the leaves from the tree I am under add to the scene, or distract. I decided to leave them included, I can always crop, or talk to photoshop later. Any feedback welcomed.
