WHV65 (BF65 WJN) is snapped again, this time as it drops down Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham, Kent as it operates on route 119, on 23rd December 2015. This Go-Ahead London (Metrobus) sevice is now almost exclusively worked by these new Volvo B5LH Gemini 3`s, with the older Scania Omnicites only making occasional appearances.
I`m not sure if the leaves from the tree I am under add to the scene, or distract. I decided to leave them included, I can always crop, or talk to photoshop later. Any feedback welcomed.

Back in the days of BR, whilst sectorisation was beginning to creep in there was still a willingness to divert trains on a Sunday instead of resorting to the Rail Replacement Bus service Cross country sevices were often diverted away from their booked route. This is more difficult now due the route knowledge not being kept on the various diversionary routes that were required in those days.
A HST service is seen approaching Droitwich with a train from the south, be it Bristol or Bournemouth, with what looks like a GWML set as it has two First Class vehicles in the formation instead if the usual one for a Cross Country set. However there was alot of mixing going on in those days.

3 Car Vlocity set VL32 rounds the curve to pass under Forrest Road, shortly after departing Malmsbury Station.
The late running Echuca bound sevice is seen here on one of the Single Line sections of the Bendigo Railway Line.
The railway to Bendigo was completed in 1862 to high speed mainline standard with double track and many substantial bridges, viaducts & tunnels.
As part of the 'Regional Fast Rail' project in 2006, the line reopened as mainly single track. Although this was claimed to improve top speeds by 30kmh, it has greatly hampered reliability & punctuality on the line.

The DMIR SD9's were so common on the Marquette line in the early 90's that they often outnumbered WC units assigned to Marquette. 153 has worked all night on a snow plow extra from Marquette and after cleaning the wye and getting positioned for the trip back on January 28, 1991 the crew has parked behind the depot and went for rest. The sun was shining great on the fresh snow so I ducked out of work for a morning portrait.

AR501 taxiing out to the holding area before taking to the air for an excellent display, partly in the company of a Gloster Gladiator Mk1.
This was at the Flying Festival 2019 held at Old Warden Airfield by the Shuttleworth Collection.
AR501 saw wartime sevice with 310 (Czech) Squadron. She also featured in the film Battle of Britain ( with elliptical wing tips fitted).
Two restorations seem to have taken place since then. The first one resulting in a return to the skies during 1975. The second done over very many years saw AR501 fly again in 2018. I was lucky enough to see some of this restoration in progress over a couple of much earlier vists to the Shuttleworth Collection hangers.

Another trip to the westcoast. This time to capture the sunset at Rubjerg old lighthouse.
The lighthouse was build in 1899 and was in sevice until 1968 where it was no longer possible to see the light from the see as a huge sand dune was blocking the view. An old side building was used as a museum until this also was completed covered by sand. Today this building is gone and the giant sand dune has moved behind the lighthouse.
