This old service station is on Peck Street in a Muskegon neighborhood adjacent to downtown. There are many buildings along this street that were once business with a few that still are open. The reason is that before the I-96 freeway was built in the 1960s US-16 was the route from Detroit to Muskegon and it ran into the city along Peck Street and terminated downtown at Muskegon Lake.
