"Your Lancashire" was a popular bi-weekly feature that appeared in the Lancashire Evening Post during the 40's and 50's. The stories were written by 'John O' Gaunt' (an antiquarian and historian of high standing) and illustrated by the Post's well known cartoonist 'Furnival' A select group of 125 features were reproduced into a 1952 Guild souvenir booklet.

Note, 600 was originally operated by Blackpool Corporation as number 225, entering service in May 1934. The original refurbished The English Electric Company Limited DB1 K44E controllers (refurbished by The English Electric Company Limited) were replaced in 1951 with controllers removed from a The English Electric Company Limited sun saloon and at some time the original two refurbished The English Electric Company Limited DK34 37 horsepower motors (refurbished by The English Electric Company Limited) were replaced. 225 was renumbered 600 in early 1968 and Blackpool Corporation became Blackpool Borough Council on 1st April 1974 due to local government reorganisation. 600 was loaned to the Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester (where it carried its original fleet number 225) between 1985 and 1997 during which time, on 26th October 1986, Blackpool Borough Council Transport became Blackpool Transport Services Limited due to bus deregulation. 600 was withdrawn from service along with the remaining ‘Open Boat’ trams in November 2004, was reinstated to service in 2005 and was named DUCHESS OF CORNWALL on 27th June 2008
644 was ordered by Blackpool Borough Council but delivered new to Blackpool Transport Services Limited as number 644. Blackpool Borough Council Transport’s operations passed to Blackpool Transport Services Limited on 26th October 1986 due to bus deregulation. 644’s seating was increased from B52D+16, possibly circa 1999 during its mid-life refurbishment

All were re-seated to H32/29R in 1958, then to H33/29R in 1965/66. 180 was the thirty-sixth bus to gain a cream roof on repaint, after the first one, 254 ( KRS 254), was so treated in October 1964.
180 lasted until withdrawal in 1971 when it was sold for scrap.
The next "tin front" buses comprising 170 - 174 (GRG 170 - GRG 174) similar Daimlers, but with Metro-Cammell bodies, entered service in August and September 1954.

A white-metal kit built and painted in the MacEwan's Coach Services, Dumfries livery. The fleetname was hand-painted and the red / blue stripes were pre-made and bought in. The real thing went on to serve with McCulloch's Coaches from the Stranraer area.
The model later suffered damage due to a shelf collapse and awaits repair.
The map location reflects where the real company's depot is.
