that horizontal "i" you see at the top of the speaker are the proximity and ambient light sensors. the proximity sensors turns off the screen when it senses your cheek touching it during a call so that you don't hit the keypad by mistake. the light sensor monitors the ambient light and sets the brightness of the screen accordingly.
Additional Sensors for use with e2 and elite energy monitors. Both models of energy monitor come supplied with one sensor. If you are operating a 3-phase supply then you will require two additional sensors. This is the standard sensor and will attach around a cable of a diameter up to 12mm.
All transmitters come with three spaces for sensors. Just look on the underside of the transmitter, take out the rubber cover of one of the spare spaces and plug in your additional sensor. Then attach it the same way as the previous one.

I really need to get it cleaned; this picture is unsalvageable. This is a piece of the diffuser that covers a flourescent tube light that Erich broke at work today.
This is not a petri dish, or a picture of the surface of the mooon, it's a crop from an f/100 shot, without any contrast enhancement!
Two fuel flow sensors wires are shown here. They are connected via two white plastic plugs.
A third wire sensor can be seen: the variable reluctance rpm sensor, which wires is a pair of a green and a black wire, on the left.
The master model for the robot used in our Mobile Robotics classes in Jersey Shore, PA. The bot as pictured measures 6" long, 5.5" wide, and 3.1" high.
This bot is built around a surplus board originally used with the "Build Your Own Sumo Robot" book by TAB Books. The onboard microcontroller is a Parallax Basic Stamp BS2. The stock board also includes IR proximity detectors, dual H-bridge motor drivers, and 11 available I/Os. Power is supplied by 4 AA batteries. Motive power consists of a pair of small efficient surplus MicroMo / Faulhaber gearmotors with integral quadrature encoders.
Sensors include 2 IR proximity detectors, 2 quadrature encoders, and the front bumper which connects to 2 microswitches to sense physical contact. Except for the main board, I produced all of the parts including the wheels.

“Ænvers Girona_Mapes intangibles” és la primera edició d’un programa del Bòlit que té com a nucli de reflexions i operacions la ciutat de Girona. Aquest primer episodi, comissariat per Flora Bacquelaine, és un exercici que pren la cartografia com a mètode d'investigació urbana i el mapa com a instrument de comunicació. Es tracta d'una reflexió sobre la contemporaneïtat gironina a partir de diferents aproximacions.

Final Product. Still some spots in the upper bit of the image. I'm not worried about those at the moment. If they start showing up in my images, I'll clean again. It's definitely an improvement over the Before. I really don't want to be touching my sensor with anything, anymore than I need to...
Lightroom.

New crank shaft position sensor from GSF. This is the "Standard" one for £42. There was a "Premium" one for £65 but with no supporting evidence of why it was better. So I didn't buy it. Time will tell.

Lightblade 1500S
Product Description
Building upon the success of the Lightblade 1500, the Lightblade 1500S is an ultra high performance LED desk lamp with a new omni-directional pivoting head to enable improved control of lighting, upgraded high efficiency lighting elements, and improved touch sensor controls. With improved brightness, enhanced color rendering, and better energy efficiency, the Lightblade 1500S is the world's best LED desk lamp.
The dual warm white and cool white LED provide a color rendering index of over 90 CRI, whereas 100 is natural sunlight. When combined with ultra bright LEDs producing 1100 lux of brightness, the Lightblade LED desk produce bright, clean light that can enhance worker productivity. The color temperature and brightness can be adjusted by a capacitive touch sensor in the base of the lamp. As an added feature, the base has an integrated USB slot enabling the charging of mobile devices. The Lightblade 1500 LED Desk Lamp is available in midnight black and arctic white.
Key Features
Omni-directional pivoting head to enable improved control of lighting
Lumiy’s LEDs are among the best and brightest in the world. The LEDs produce an astounding 1100 lux of brightness.
Dual cool white and warm white LED enable a color rendering index of over 90 CRI produce sharp, crisp lighting. Lumiy produces near to perfect natural light, whereas sunlight is 100 CRI.
Capacitive touch sensors are seamlessly integrated into the base. Touch sensors adjust brightness, 1100 lux - 500 lux, and color temperature, 6600k to 1800k.
Experience huge power, and cost savings through high efficiency, ultra bright LEDs. LEDs use only 1 watt of power on low brightness and 8 watts at maximum brightness.
Lumiy’s sleek, compact design with its ultra bright lighting is perfect for today’s high functionality modern offices. The slim captive touch sensor base saves desk space.
