My girl has a sensitive soul. She is easily scared which can be a challenge for me as a mom. I have learned so much in helping her develop her courage. Patience and calm confidence have been the key. This week I am proud to say I got her to go down slides again, climb rope ladders, and she now ignores airplanes flying by. Baby steps!
This picture is such a Haven moment. We were hanging out in the bathroom when I saw a lizard on our window (on the outside). She usually likes lizards so I thought she would be excited to see one. When I told her I snapped the picture thinking she would have a totally different reaction, but this...this is so Haven. I love that girl.

Cat Tien national park. Dad used to have one of these. The leaves fold away if you touch them. My sisters and I prodded it that much that it died. That's what my Dad says anyway.... Maybe he forgot to water it!

There are four species of the Sensitive Briar (Mimosa spp. ) genus that occur in SE Texas. I'm pretty certain this is one of them, but which one I cannot say. They are sprawling members of the Pea family (Fabaceae).
TREY is an adorable, small-size Beagle who’s 2-3 years old. He’s a friendly little guy with a rather shy, sensitive side and he’ll need kind handling and confidence-building to help him blossom (he loves food treats, which will be a big help!). He does well with other dogs.
Trey needs a calm, low-stress home.
