Rye Grass Rxn Day 1 - 9h Post-Injection

Rye Grass - Left Arm. Injected at 1500h Fri 19 March 2010.

ALL of my chronic reactions have been to the dust mite (right arm injections). Today, I have had an ENORMOUS reaction to Rye Grass. My arm is swollen almost from elbow to shoulder and it hurs to touch, wear clothes, it is burning up, itchy as hell, hard as a rock and sensitive and still increasing in size at 2200h.

Must say......its a bit concerning. 15cm in length and 10cm wide atm...20 mins after the injection it was 3mm.....

WTF is going on?

Detail of the Norman font, a section of which appears to be a sensitively matched 18th century repair.

St Faith's church sits charmingly in the picturesque surroundings of Overbury, a handsome building whose various parts span the entire medieval period, from the largely Norman nave to the Perpendicular central tower, of a design and colouring that would make it quite at home in the nearby Cotswolds.

The interior takes a moment to adjust to owing to the low light level, The Norman nave was provided with a row of clerestorey windows on either side which would have improved this situation were it not for the fact the aisle walls and roofs were rebuilt to a higher level in the following centuries. The nave thus is a brooding space from which the lighter 13th century chancel beyond draws the eye, and has the added appeal of a vaulted ceiling, an unusual luxury for a village church. The unusually wide east window is a later insertion to increase the light within.

This is an enjoyable space full of interest with a few particular features worth seeking out, foremost of which is the Norman font which greets the visitor near the south door and is carved with two unidentified figures in relief.

Overbury church was open and welcoming in pre-Covid days and well worth a visit.

What starts small can quickly spread through the rural countryside, both difficult to manage and uncooperative to handle. The leaves fold upon touch and pods form full of seeds. The pink pom pom flower is attractive to look at but if you touch the prickles on the sides of the stems will protect the plant. What starts out small...........and ends up an enormous problem for both rural and urban countryside, for animals, native fauna and humans.

(Caveat: sensitive to the carnivorous pleasures? Do not, I repeat, do not read on. In fact, turn away. Pull up an image of kittens. Breathe easy.)

You might go with "oleaginous delights," or "unctuous paroxysms of unmitigated joy." You do what you want.

But foie gras is stupidly delicious.

You know bacon? I know you know bacon.

You know how bacon is salty and crispy and fatty and somehow is the culmination of All Things Meatgasmic?

Foie gras is that, but one step up. It out-bacons bacon. Crispy on the outside, buttery and fatty and salty on the inside, it's a truly incredible treat. Yes, sure, it's liver, but no, it tastes nothing -- I repeat nothing -- like what you'd expect liver to taste like. Remove all expectations. Try it at your earliest convenience.

And lest you think that foie gras is somehow cruel --

It isn't.

This bar is loaded with rose hip infused oils and super finely ground rose hips which are natures most natural and abundant source of Vitamin C, as well as being high of Vitamin E.

Why does that matter to me? Because Vitamin C stimulates cell renewal, collagen and elastin production and increases healthy circulation. It can help minimize the damage done by the sun.

Rose Hips also contain a small amount of tannins which provide astringent qualities and the rose hips have anti-inflammatory properties.

We have also added Rose Clay to our 2 Roses Facial Bar. Rose Clay is gentle enough for the most sensitive of skins. It will help draw out the environmental toxins that our skin collects day to day and will lightly exfoliate.

This bar is scented with a skin loving blend of Bulgarian Lavender, Rose Otto, Rose Geranium and Rose Water.

Bars weigh 4.2-5.1 oz.
