Yves Drillet is a young upcoming photographer born in the nineties, studying at the Fine Art Institute of Rennes, France. Even if his photography follows Larry Clark, Ari Marcopoulos or Ed Tempelton footsteps, Yves Drillet gives us a fascinating documentary on his contemporaries. Beyond the portraits, the parties or some empty landspaces, the photography of this artist reveals above all the strong and sincere vision of a 19 year-old boy's modern world.
On rentre à l'heure où les oiseaux chantent is the second invitation for a journey in the artist' intimate world, next to his first shot "voyage au bout de la nuit", previously selfpublished last year.
Published in conjunction with "on rentre à l'heure où les oiseaux chantent" an exhibition at Alphagraph Bookstore. January 30th - febraury 28th, 2009.

This issue from 2010 contains a lengthy interview with THOR THC, a photo essay on Detroit graffiti, drawings by CHILE and COVE, and several memorial pieces for writers who passed away.

Together Atlas is a collaborative zine by partners and friends Dave Ladd (He She It They I), Joseph Allen (IzRock Pressings), Mark Drew (Making Ends/Long Story Short/Rent Me) and Tristan Ceddia (Never Now/ The Serpents/Serps Zine). Each artist made 4 or 5 double page spreads with the very loose theme of the collective four. All hands on deck – Together Atlas was hand-collated and assembled at Chronic's house with youtube on the projector.

Family portrait
This book is about the history and the genealogy of several families with the surnames MAURICE, ROBITAILLE, ROULEAU, LECLERC, MORISSETTE, GUAY, TOUTANT and a few others. It is a hardcover book with 120 pages (28 x 33 cm), more than 250 photos, a quarter of which date back to before 1900, and some thirty genealogical tables and maps. It is written in French, but an English edition is forthcoming.

Here I'm testing a mock-up and just love how the cover has sort of an early American romanticism feel to it, like a cover for a book by Washington Irving or Nathaniel Hawthorne, etc. I'm super ecstatic and nervous. Intimidating to see your words in book form...

A collaboration of drawings by my friend Alice Pattullo and myself. They were made into a small self-published zine, and a set of 3 posters (digitally printed onto cartridge paper)
I took the illustration from the 'Animals around the world', book to create the gif above, and below in comments :-)
I created four frames and then copied those four frames, reversed them before deleting the last frame of the original four, paste the copied four to three frames of the original, and then finally deleted the very first frame of the seven frames (after pasting) finishing with only 6 frames for the gif seen.
It is all much easier than it sounded after reading the above, lol
I use an old version of PaintshopPro and the discontinued 'animation shop' program. I have done a little research and this can still be downloaded, although I can't use it on my Mac.
I haven't found another program that I'm as comfortable with as PaintShop Pro and animation shop, it's brilliant.
