A Song of an Autumn Night. by Wang Wei
Under the crescent moon a light autumn dew
Has chilled the robe she will not change --
And she touches a silver lute all night,
Afraid to go back to her empty room.
A view from the Shard in London. This was taken from the viewing gallery looking straight up towards the pinnacles.
Played around with editing old photos and found a chance to do this. I'm not that familiar in this type of work but I'm quite pleased with the results.
The image has been transferred to b&w with all blue & cyan colours put to dark. Then brushed visible those selected colours and emphasized some yellow.
Theme 'In Motion' - My 14th shot of 2014 for this 52 week group
-------------------------------------
My first real attempt at panning shots and it was raining so I had limited time. Hopefully I can get better but did the two tone to get more contrast and clarity as the bus is not perfectly still but it does show motion as per theme.

First use of selective colour in my 365 :) The blue of the wheel is so vibrant I wanted to highlight it (plus removing the other colours got rid of some distracting light trails and passers-by - oh and a tv film crew).
I started the shot whilst they were loading passengers and I liked that the carriages can be seen in place as well as in motion... 30 second exposure at f22, iso 100
Get Pushed - I was given a choice of quotes by Tennyson by my push-partner Scott. I went with this one: "The old order changeth, yielding place to new" Brighton is a city that changes constantly - this is one of the newest local landmarks.
I know I'm a day late with this push but Scott was kind enough to give me some extra time.
I can't believed it rained all day!!! non stop!!!!

Banksy girl and balloon on Vestry street just off Old Street, London UK.
It's no longer there as the building you see on the left has been renovated and the wall painted over.

There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been! ~Percy Bysshe Shelley
I hope the Green party resurgence will save these and many others in same state

Thanks to so_photos for helping out with the brown patch! (If any of you notice a big brown patch on the right bottom quadrant of this photo, please let me know.) Squished eyeballs or a bad computer screen are taking its toll on me. But maybe my computer itself heard my cribbing, coz yesterday night, it chose to crash! Yeah, that heap of metal and silicon died out on me! Argh. I'm so happy!
