#3 of my mini series from work at the Olympiastadion Berlin. You can find #2 in the fifth comment (I was too slow), and if you take a closer look at the previous image, you can also see the barrier tape in that photo. The worker on the cherry picker was doing something (I never found out what) on the ceiling of the upper collonade. I have photoGRIIIphed him up there as well, but I might postpone that (and more) image(s) from the Olympiastadion until next year. Since Christmas season will start with the first of Advent in only a week (time flies, just like the barrier tape in this shot), I think I will upload a few Christmassy- or festive-looking images now, images that I've wanted to upload for ages (previous December, December before previous December), but somehow never did ;)
HSS, Everyone!
Nr. 3 meiner kleinen "Arbeits"serie vom Berliner Olympiastadion.

Combination of motion blur and selective colour. I am beginning to really like this look although it seems to be a bit of a long process for me. I am saying not so easy. I like the outcome though.
Happy Sliders Sunday
I awoke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closing in
[ Bob Seger - Night Moves ]
Happy Sliders Sunday everybody!
And enjoy the autumn! ;-)

HSS!
This is my little smiley/birthday singing stuffed doll. Yesterday had it out for my Grandson's 6th Birthday we did over Facetime and next Saturday it's going to a 100 year old friends Birthday.
Smile on Saturday.
Selective Colour.
... or how to bring colour into a grey world.
This week's theme of the 'Smile on Saturday' group is 'Selective Colour'. I used to love selective colour but for some reason haven't used it in a long time, so I was very happy with the theme. Mousie obviously enjoyed the theme too ! :) HSoS !
A dream fulfilled.
One of the shots I always wanted to do - and I tried a couple of times - but never found the right motorway, the right place to put the camera, the right amount of cars driving along, the right amount of light...
Maybe today was the day and this is the one! ;-)
My partner in crime getting ready to take some nocturnal shots from inside the Waverley Abbey ruins (with open roof) towards the night sky while I was having more fun photographing his antics from the outside looking in ;)
Waverley Abbey: was the first Cistercian abbey in England[citation needed]. It was founded in 1128 by William Giffard, Bishop of Winchester. Located in Farnham, Surrey, about 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of the town centre, the abbey is situated on a floodplain, surrounded by current and previous channels of the River Wey. It was damaged on more than one occasion by severe flooding, resulting in rebuilding in the 13th century. Despite being the first Cistercian abbey in England, and being motherhouse to several other abbeys, Waverley was "slenderly endowed" and its monks are recorded as having endured poverty and famine. ...
