I think I should add a frame to it. A simple one perhaps. In black. For now, just use your imagination or view it on black .

Even better still, check out this for increased vastness of space.

The Nissan Figaro cars were produced in Japan in 1991 and is arguably the most intriguing design in recent times. Designed by Shoji Takahashi the Nissan Figaro is already a sought after classic in Europe and Japan. Shoji Takahashi actually won many design awards and critical acclaim for this and the theory behind the design was based around the brand of Swatch watches that were very popular at the time. The theory was that different casings can be put around identical mechanics to create a very different design and the Nissan Figaro is actually based around the mechanics of a Nissan Micra.

The Figaro was marketed in four colours representing the four seasons: Topaz Mist (Autumn), Emerald Green (Spring), Pale Aqua (Summer) and Lapis Grey (Winter).

This is Pale Aqua.

Only 20,000 Nissan Figaros were ever made and due to such large demand in Japan the cars had to be allocated by a raffle!

“I am the daughter of Earth and Water,

And the nursling of the Sky;

I pass through the pores of the ocean and shores;

I change, but I cannot die.

For after the rain when with never a stain

The pavilion of Heaven is bare,

And the winds and sunbeams with their convex gleams

Build up the blue dome of air,

I silently laugh at my own cenotaph,

And out of the caverns of rain,

Like a child from the womb, like a ghost from the tomb,

I arise and unbuild it again.”

― Percy Bysshe Shelley

Who came up with this idea, I wonder... Knitting a tree-"warmer"?? I saw it on Torgallmenningen in Bergen early this summer. Strange.

By the way, I'm sitting sleepless in Oslo and I'm really really bored at the moment, so that's my excuse... Heh...

On a recent epic autumn trip with Simon and Phil we explored the autum colours along the New England Highway. It's an annual pilgrimage for many of us photographers down South West.

As we approached this abandoned Railway station at night we saw the unbelievable. A complete, 360-degree fog bow, created by the headlights of our car in fog. Laughter in the car...what followed was a series of images by all 3 of us (you can see the shadow of the tripods). Now...that's something different isn't it.

About the Fog Bow

A fog bow is a similar phenomenon to a rainbow, however, as its name suggests, it appears as a bow in fog rather than rain. Because of the very small size of water droplets that cause fog—smaller than 0.05 millimeters (0.0020 in)—the fog bow has only very weak colors, with a red outer edge and bluish inner.

In many cases when the droplets are very small, fog bows appear white, and are therefore sometimes called white rainbows. This lack of color is a distinguishing feature from a glory, which has multiple pale colored rings caused by diffraction. When the droplets forming it are almost all of the same size the fog bow can have multiple inner rings, or supernumeraries, that are more strongly colored than the main bow. According to NASA:

The fogbow's lack of colors is caused by the smaller water drops ... so small that the wavelength of light becomes important. Diffraction smears out colors that would be created by larger rainbow water drops.

There is no Fog Circle definition....enjoy the image anyway. The circle is NOT photoshopped.
