Another version of the previous shot.

These very cheap & disposable earthen cups are heavily used by small roadside tea stalls throughout Indian subcontinent.

Theme: Selective Colour

Something I used to love to do, but not so much now..

For this weeks theme I have decided to go with this take on a old classic.

Out and about in my rrv.... Where in Sheffield am I?

I work for Yorkshire Ambulance Service on the RRVs in and around the city of Sheffield in South Yorkshire.

It’s a great job and I feel very honoured to be able to help people at their point of need.

An old image I keep coming back to, never quite deciding if I like it enough ...... and then tinkering with it some more ..........

B&W sunflower, and the Red Admiral.

Packed up smoking these things along with alcohol 27 years ago, and it was the 3rd best thing to happen to me in my life so far !

Despite many, many extremely stressful setbacks during that time, apart from a ' few twinges ' during the first three months, those particular urges have long since gone ~ I'm not going to mention my passion for McCoys crisps !

The doorway that says LA Studios, to the left of the bus driver, once said UDT - United Dominions Trust Ltd., a bank and financial company. It led up to the first floor window where I sat when I worked for them. I worked for them for a number of years back in the mid 70's. The view out of the window onto Boscawen Street, Truro was a lot more interesting than the job.

A bit of fun with some red paint

I wonder where the summer weather is? I mean, sure they mentioned that next week's gonna look fine.. Call me crazy, but I find this summer a bit too rainy and slightly cold. Oh well. Let's hope the sun comes out soon :) Now... Back to studying for my Chemical Safety Course for UBC. Anyway.. GO CANUCKS GO!

The bridge makes a handy support for the camera..

A short history of this image is needed. Terry, Terry Roberts, came on holiday to the US for a road trip to visit the American Southwest . . . prior to flying home we decided to go out photographing gas stations at night as we were both fans of the work of Frank Loose.

This was the first gas station we visited, where I discovered I preferred photographing isolated pump islands. So here is my take on visually busy gas station that wasn't busy this night.

My inspiration for photographing gas stations at night were the images taken by Frank Loose which can be seen here www.flickr.com/photos/frankloose/albums/72157720238061513/

Looking forward to more nights out looking for other gas stations to photograph.
