I rarely if ever take shots in black and white. I tried this one but couldn't help myself - I just had to add that little burst of colour into the shot.
Thank you for your comments in advance. If you take the time to comment on my work I will repay the kindness with a visit to your photo stream :-)

They do great work and every penny can make a huge difference to the lives of the poorest people in the World.
So do something funny for money!
UPDATE!! We did a cake sale at work and raised over £180! The nation as a whole though raised £57m in one night. Makes me very proud to be British.
On New Years Day we took a trip to Greenwich Market where they have a display of old cars and bikes together with a retro disco and a live band. A very fun filled afternoon, although a tad busy this year. They also have loads of stalls selling food from all around the world so you can imagine how good it smells.
Smile on Saturday’s Theme of old to new is perfect for this shot! Seeing in the New Year at a vintage market.
Sometimes, I see a beautiful composition in nature and capture the moment only to be disappointed with the image. The Monarch was what my mind focused on but the abundance of surrounding colour overtook the image. A little post selective colour brought me back to what was in my minds eye! All is good again!!
... to You

Of course I have a few shot of him in full colour. But his camouflage blended so well with the Autumnal leaves, I opted here for the selective colour just to help him stand out more.
With the current trend of adult colouring books, I thought a shot of my daughters mindfulness colouring book would be a nice choice for this weeks theme.
It was very hard to pick which one to colour in for the shot, so many to choose from, but we both liked the swirly waves.
I really want one of these for myself
Schönbrunn Palace (German: Schloss Schönbrunn is a former imperial summer residence located in Vienna, Austria. The 1,441-room Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in the country. Since the mid-1950s it has been a major tourist attraction.
The history of the palace and its vast gardens spans over 300 years, reflecting the changing tastes, interests, and aspirations of successive Habsburg monarchs.
The Schönbrunn Palace in its present form was built and remodelled during the 1740–50s during the reign of empress Maria Theresa who received the estate as a wedding gift. Franz I commissioned the redecoration of the palace exterior in the neoclassical style as it appears today.

Loved the Aussie Flag and the Scottish kilt here.
This little girl looks so proudly Australian.
There is no other place in the world I would rather live.
WE ARE AUSTRALIAN
Judith Durham
I came from the dreamtime from the dusty red soil plains
I am the ancient heart, the keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I'd been the first Australian.
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I came upon the ship bowed down by iron chains.
I cleared the land, endured the lash and waited for the rains.
I'm a settler.
I'm a farmer's wife on a dry and barren run
A convict then a free man I became Australian.
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I'm the daughter of a digger who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman on the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good times come
I'm a bushy, I'm a battler
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian
I am, you are, we are Australian.
