Mitt bidrag/my contribution to “Crazy Tuesday” på temat/on theme “Selective Colour”
The Smile on Saturday theme for May 30 is Selective Color. The red roses are selected, and also the yellow roses in the background. 🌺🌼 Gracie fits in naturally, as she is black and white! 🐩 HSoS ❗️
This was just a quick impromptu point and shoot. No pre-planning, I wasn't even looking to see if there was anything in the reflection. It was only when I was going through the memory card that I spotted this photo. I thought a selective colour would add some interest.
Oh, I struggled with this one! Doing this challenge really brought home to me how much I use, and love, colour. Without it, soft bokeh becomes meaningless mush. Then you have to think about why one element of an image should stand out from the rest. Most things I tried didn't make sense and just looked random, but I hope this one has at least a bit of a 'story'. I now have a new respect for people who regularly use this technique. :)
For this week's Smile on Saturday theme, Selective Colour.

Taken late afternoon on Friday and here the new life is just starting to appear. Tried a selective colour on a light green using the art filter on the E-M1 to try to pick out the new leaves. Boughton Brake is found in North Nottinghamshire, near the Walesby Activity Centre
Gorgeous gas guzzler somewhere in Krimpen aan den IJssel, South-Holland.
Happy Sliders Sundays. Use your brakes wisely :-)
Oldsmobile F36 Sedan 1936. Thanks, Peter!
Something about this graffiti portrait (spotted on a long walk along the banks of the Seine in Paris) really appeals to me, it's beautifully done.
On a family day out at the park I rushed this one together. Would like to have another go at this with some more dynamic light and some different crops.
Whitehaven harbour on Christmas day 2019 as the sun was going down, I decided to be a bit creative with the edit on this one as the colours of the boats was so strong and the reflections were really nice in the calm waters.

Happy Fence Friday (HFF). Spotted in the animated neighbourhood of Lamarck in Montmartre, Paris - great bars, great food and fabulous overall ambience :-)

The APA building was constructed in 1936-1937 in a brief period of economic expansion between the end of the depression and the Second World War. It is an example of Art Deco or Jazz Modern style which was at its peak at the time of the building' construction. The most notable feature of the building is its facade of granite and terracotta. Situated in Martin Place, the building is a integral component in the streetscape, and is the last remaining example of the consistent group of structures which exhibited a conformity of scale and detail.
Martin Place might look ordinary, but superheros have been known to hang around here :)
