Taken late afternoon on Friday and here the new life is just starting to appear. Tried a selective colour on a light green using the art filter on the E-M1 to try to pick out the new leaves. Boughton Brake is found in North Nottinghamshire, near the Walesby Activity Centre

Happy Sliders Sundays. Use your brakes wisely :-)

Oldsmobile F36 Sedan 1936. Thanks, Peter!

Something about this graffiti portrait (spotted on a long walk along the banks of the Seine in Paris) really appeals to me, it's beautifully done.

Looking close... on Friday! theme Selective color Pink

Whitehaven harbour on Christmas day 2019 as the sun was going down, I decided to be a bit creative with the edit on this one as the colours of the boats was so strong and the reflections were really nice in the calm waters.

Happy Fence Friday (HFF). Spotted in the animated neighbourhood of Lamarck in Montmartre, Paris - great bars, great food and fabulous overall ambience :-)

this scenario at Rome's Colosseum cracked me up really baaadly :D

The APA building was constructed in 1936-1937 in a brief period of economic expansion between the end of the depression and the Second World War. It is an example of Art Deco or Jazz Modern style which was at its peak at the time of the building' construction. The most notable feature of the building is its facade of granite and terracotta. Situated in Martin Place, the building is a integral component in the streetscape, and is the last remaining example of the consistent group of structures which exhibited a conformity of scale and detail.

Martin Place might look ordinary, but superheros have been known to hang around here :)

Selective colour to bring out the detail in the leaves.

Taken at Seven Sisters in East Sussex, UK. I spotted this lady on the beach in her bright red dress.

2022 one photo each day

Themed pic for Crazy Tuesday. Lock with a red plastic cap on the end. Had to put it on a mirror to be able to show it was in black and white. Added a mask on the red part to erase the black and white, while keeping the cap in black and white in the mirror. Had fun with this one and think it turned out well for the theme.

This slightly unusual view of Ripon Cathedral is take from the delightfully named road Low Saint Agnesgate

Ripon is a cathedral city in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is located at the confluence of two tributaries of the River Ure, the Laver and Skell.

The present Ripon Cathedral is the fourth to have stood on this site. Saint Wilfrid brought stonemasons, plasterers and glaziers from France and Italy to build his great basilica in AD 672.

Finally dragged myself into the 21st century and updated my aged photo editing softwear so selective colour is now possible. I would have liked a more subtle tone of pink, but could only find a choice of this or flourescent cerise!...May take a while to get to grips with it! HLCOF! :-)

Portugal. City of Lisboa. This famous number 28 enjoyable tram passes districts like Baixa, Graça, Alfama and Estrela. A ride on this old public tram isn't comfortable due to benches made of wood. But it's a highlight of any visit to Lisboa. It passes incredible narrow streets.
