My parting words on this personal, historic work-life journey was one of my most memorable, unforgettable, exciting experiences in my life.
Alhamdulilah, Syukran, As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. The tough Challenges, many tiring long hours of studying, slogging for the exams, etc, the training course in Manila was over. Suddenly I then had felt a great relief mixed with a huge wonderful sense of personal self fulfillment, achievement, satisfaction & a gush of inner peace that my mission there was finally completed.
It had been a great once in a life-time opportunity, exposure, experience & a very rare honour for me to be selected by WHO Fellowship for an overseas study trip.
Besides acquiring deeper knowledge on public health issues, challenges, & management, hands-on expertise coached personally by experts from WHO lecturers & tutors, I had also gained humongous experience on human endeavours, challenges & their life-skills, creativity, hard work, humility, etc. That kind of 1st hand encounter & experience had moved me & also shaped me to be a more humble & a grateful person in my future work-life balance.
I'm for ever grateful to each & everyone at home & out there from the ordinary poor, proud local people, friendly participants, lecturers, tutors, etc. Also encouragements from my Almarhum parents, siblings, friends & colleagues for their 'doas', blessings, support, etc.
Above all, I'm most grateful to The Almighty, all my humility to Allah for all his Mercy & Blessings & for watching over me.
All said & done, the people I met there were extremely friendly, cordial & most helpful. But Manila City then was not a safe place to stay bcoz of security, safety & also mostly serving non-halal food.
Sadly most locals were very poor & living in shanty dilapidated squatters, many were jobless. Many had to work 2 or 3 jobs to support their families.
My Final farewells & Well Wishes to all there with a sad but happy Closure & Lasting Memories. Wassalam
