Securing today’s connected enterprise is a race across many different terrains where we are often unsure or unaware of what lies ahead and who or where our opponents really are.As boundaries continue to erode between the physical and cyber worlds, between high and low-tech risks, between the human workforce and artificial intelligence, and as the valuation of digital compared to physical assets undergoes radical shifts, ASIS Europe 2018 tackles the most challenging issues.Cyber-physical threats in hyper-complex, connected environments are the core themes of the event.ASIS, as a global community of security practitioners tasked with the protection of assets – people, property, and information – is uniquely positioned to deal with enterprise-wide risks.

I'm pretty sure this is employee parking for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Sirens must go off when that gate opens. The bicyclists get to park in high security too, as they should!
I put a bit of tape under the cable, which needed to be pressed flat. I didn't want to short against the other solder points with the small amount of exposed wire i still had. The cable is looped around a handy bit of frame to prevent an errant tug from breaking the joins. This would be a nuisance to fix later.

In the U. S. A., I'm accustomed to seeing bars on windows and doors of
pawn shops dealing in high-value items and doing business in some of the
less desirable parts of town. Most stores, though don't have such
security precautions. Here, in Papua New Guinea, bars and razor wire
protect a store in a nicer part of town that sells cookware. Yes, people
would steal pots, here, without bars and a guard at the door. A
pick-pocket attempted to steal from a friend of mine a few hours after
this photo was taken, just a few blocks from there. And why was I in the
car instead of the store? Because I was guarding the car and the few
things we bought at the last store. Is this sort of thing necessary in
PNG? Yes. Right now, it is, because some crime is so bad that it is
embedded in the culture. It is going to take some serious work of God to
turn this nation around. Yes, it will take work from people, too,
obeying the Great Commission and the Great Commandment, but without
God's help, hearts won't really change.
A priest ties one end of a thread to the pipal tree in a temple in Bangalore.
This was on the occasion of a marriage. The bride, and other ladies took the thread in their hands and went around the tree three times, and at the same time wishing for a happy married life.
So, if in India, if you see a tree with threads around it, you can be sure that it is reflecting the wishes of someone.
