The Bible has a lot to say about money and how we should handle it. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus tells us that we cannot serve both God and money. This means that our focus should be on God, and not on earthly things like money. Money is an important part of life, but it should not be our main focus. In 1 Timothy 6:10, Paul tells us that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. This means that when we put our love for money above everything else, it can lead us down a bad path. We see this happen all the time in the world today. People will do anything for money, even if it means harming others. But when we keep our focus on God, He will guide us and help us use our money in ways that are good and helpful to others.

I decided not to do the coin pocket thing this time. (I have no fabric glue, and anyway, I think I like the look better without, for this fabric.) At present there's no closure - I'll think about adding velcro later.

Just a few taken at the Battle of the bands show in Newport last night for my good friends In Scripture. All in black and white as I used a YN-460II on 1/16 or 1/8.

 

Edited using Lightroom CS3, exported into Photoshop CS4 to add a layer of Topaz Adjust.

Caesarea Philippi:

Also known as Baal-gad, Banias, Baniyas, Banyas, Barias, Belinas, Caesarea Neronias, Caesarea of Philip, Caesarea Paneas, Caesarea Panias, Caesareia Sebaste, Keisarion, Kisrin, Medinat Dan, Mivzar Dan, Neronias, Pamias, Paneas, Paneias, Paneion, Panias, Panium

 

Situated 25 miles north of the Sea of Galilee and at the base of Mt. Hermon, Caesarea Philippi is the location of one of the largest springs feeding the Jordan River.

 

This abundant water supply has made the area very fertile and attractive for religious worship. Numerous temples were built at this city in the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

 

Apparently known as Baal Hermon and Baal Gad in the Old Testament period, this site later was named Panias after the Greek god Pan who was worshiped here.

 

There is no record of Jesus entering the city, but the great confession and the transfiguration both occurred in the vicinity of the city (Matt 16:13), then known as Caesarea Philippi.

The spring emerged from the large cave which became the center of pagan worship. Beginning in the 3rd century B.C., sacrifices were cast into the cave as offerings to the god Pan.

 

Pan, the half-man half-goat god of fright (thus “panic”), is often depicted playing the flute. This city, which was known in ancient times as Panias, is now called by the Arabic form of this name, Banias.

  

Sacred Niches:

 

Adjacent to the sacred cave is a rocky escarpment with a series of hewn niches. We know that statues of the deity were placed in these niches by depictions of such on coins of the city.

 

One niche housed a sculpture of Echo, the mountain nymph and Pan’s consort. Another niche housed a statue of Pan’s father, Hermes, son of nymph Maia. Inscriptions in the niches mention those who gave large donations.

Many friends and family gathered at the church in Barrie to participate in a Celebration Service for Brian and Naomi. Several ministers laid hands on and prayed for the couple's upcoming marriage in Georgia.

This image was scanned from an item in the Williamson Collection of some 450 photographic glass slides and other items, which was acquired by the archives section of the Auchmuty Library. The collection was assembled by Archdeacon A. N. Williamson, who served for many years in the Diocese of Newcastle, as well as travelling extensively in the South Pacific area. The collection vividly portrays town and country life in Australia, particularly in Sydney and the Hunter Valley, soon after the turn of the century. The collection also illustrates life in Japan, Papua New Guinea, Nauru and Fiji, from the turn of the century until the mid-1930s.

Scripture (or Script for short) is highly intelligent due to one of Tholly's successful experiments, although after that, Script has refused to be a part of any test-subject-needed experiments.

 

Script spends most of his time in the library.

He is friends with the robot, @ter.

The two tend to converse in different languages, mostly so Tholly doesn't catch their conversations easily.

 

Script despises the times @ter drags him along to tend to Ophealia...

Hor Trai Phra Traipidok (Tripitaka) is the hall (Mondop in Thai) for storing the Holy Scriptures. At Wat Thung Sri Muang, Hor Phra Traipidok is generally referred to as Hor Trai Klang Nam because it is located in the middle of a pond. It is a mixture of three types of architecture, namely Thai, Burmese and Lao.
