This was hell. It was. I think at 3:00 we had been writting a script for three hours, but we got stuck on the plot and then everyone was so frustrated we were about to gnaw on each other.
Too many ideas-not enough conclusions alot of stuff was written down and thrown out because it was just goin into too much detail...which then would have added more and more scenes for the production people...scenes which then would have been hell to shoot and could have been hell to piece back together in edit.
Finally we took the most direct approach with the plot and handed it over to be directed.

A technical script is used to establish camera angles, what going to be on set (props), comments about costumes, sound lightning and any other details you like to add. This is an example of how I do it. In my case I write this script in English and Spanish to better understand what I want. As long as you understand it and CAN EXPLAIN IT to others, your ok. The technical script is usually done by the director along with the director of photography.

Hindu sacred script, probably in Pali language on one of the sections of wall of the Banteay Srei temples. Hence, as you can see, apart from the intricate carvings at Banteay Srei, one can also see some portions of wall with sacred script, as you can see here. One of the scores of Angkor era temples which dot the countryside around Siem Reap, Cambodia, Banteay Srei is a symphony in red sandstone. The Banteay Srei temple complex is built largely of red sandstone, a comparatively softer stone that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which have stood the test of time, war and weather and which are still admired today. Banteay Srei or Banteay Srey is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yasodharapura and Angkor Thom. More notes about Angkor Thom appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). (Siem Reap, Cambodia, Oct. 2008)
