this young cheviot lamb. uses part of an old beech tree, which blew down in a recent storm - to rid it's self of an ovine itch, up on the lower footslopes of meikleholm hill. langholm, dumfriesshire, scotland.
Feel free to use it. I would appreciate if you would link back and post the result here or a link to the end-product. Have fun!

So the moral to this little story is this - IF one of your cats, say Mischief, is in your closet and does NOT want to come out - do NOT force him. Never force someone out of the closet - they will come out when they are ready! *snort*
Yes, I cleaned the scratches *there are more on the other side of my arm, but they are mild*, and I put antibiotic cream on them and covered them. Of course first I let out a string of expletives that would shock a Sailor lol

Well I don't know where they come from
But they sure do come
I hope they comin' for me
And I don't know how they do it
But they sure do it good
I hope they doin' it for free
They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
The first time that I got it
I was just ten years old
I got it from some kitty next foor
I went and see the Dr. and
He gave me the cure
I think I got it some more
They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever
It's nothin dangerous
I feel no pain
I've got to ch-ch-change
You know you got it when you're going insane
It makes a grown man cryin' cryin'
Won't you make my bed
I make the pussy purr with
The stroke of my hand
They know they gettin' it from me
They know just where to go
When they need their lovin man
They know I do it for free
They give me cat scratch fever
Cat scratch fever

I was in need for a good old sunrise seascape this morning, to scratch the itch. I needed to go somewhere new, but it still needed to be within 30 minutes drive, there is a limited to when I’ll get out of bed. So the alarm was set at alarm for 3:10am and I slept right up to the tones of Clannad’s Harry’s game. Usually on these silly O’clock alarm calls I have a restless sleep, always looking at the watch, but this morning was different and for getting up at that time I was quite refreshed. I headed north and through the tunnel to the closest bit of the Northumberland coastline I can get to. I still have a Tyne Tunnel account as I used it every day on my last job, but I haven’t been a regular commuter for 5 years, I can’t believe it’s been that long since I last worked. I decided to visit a well photographed local stack up at Seaton Sluice, Charley’s Garden, as I had never set foot on this shoreline it was new to me. This photo is just when the sun was creating a hotspot on the horizon so it must of been of been about 4:40am, it hit the spot for me.
Yet another free texture for you guys. :) Because you're all cool like that. ;)

Got into some of my Glacier National Park files last night and decided to switch from sheep to goats for awhile. As far as shooting wildlife, both are incredible animals to be in the company of and to watch their mannerisms and interactions. This nanny left her grazing to go cool off in the snow and as I was watching she began tilting her head back and scratching herself with the horns. It was fun to watch and to capture.
And now I am itching to shoot some eagles, though there aren't many in town yet and Jay will get out there and get them all before I'm poured into my winter clothing. Frost on the trees but some blue sky.
Have a great Saturday.

Mama grizzly decided to use a tree to give her back a little scratch. Baby griz was unimpressed and decided to sniff around looking for grubs or some other tasty morsel.
This picture gives a pretty good perspective on just how massive these animals are. Can you imagine having a grizzly rear up on you? Jeez, I'd just drop and pray. To-date, there has only been one grizzly bear related death in Denali Park. And guess who it was? Yep, a photographer who decided a little closer would be better. Hooray for big ole lenses.

Remember those Scratch n' Sniff stickers from the '70s and '80s? I used to love those. I wonder what this one smells like. =)
While rooting around in some boxes of old stuff, I found this little spaceship and thought I'd post some pictures of it. I scratch-built this in 2000 or so, during my LEGO darkages. It's made out of styrene plastic sheets and bars that I bought at a hobby train store. Almost everything is hand made including the hinges, although I kitbashed some greebly type details from Star Wars Micro-Machine toys. Apparently I've been drawn to this color combo for a very long time. Cheers!
not trying to be lame with landscapes and shit, just digging up some stuff from end of last year. and definitely don't mean landscapes are lame.. scratchboard, 2009
