Bristol Scout D at Aerospace Bristol, Filton, 20 June 2018. The Scout was the first landplane with a wheeled undercarriage to take off from the deck of an aircrfat carrier - from the seaplane carrier HMS Vindex on 3 November 1915. The Scout was employed extensively on anti-Zeppelin patrols both from land bases and carriers in the North Sea.
Master Sgt. Thomas H. Aycock, the operations non-commissioned officer, 146 Expeditionary Signal Battalion, Multi-National Corp - Iraq, teaches Iraqi boys knot-tying techniques, May 30, during an Iraqi scouting event at French Village, an Iraqi compound that houses locals employed on Victory Base Complex, Baghdad. The Boy Scouts of Troop 68 have a court of honor in March, 1987. The COH was held in the Little Theater at the Melrose High School.
Saunders Roe P531 (Westland Scout prototype) restored in ETPS Boscombe Down colours. This five seat helicopter had her first flight in 1960 from the Eastleigh factory.
There is a picture on the web of 165 in a two tone grey scheme in the mid sixties. XP165 flew as a trials aircraft for the first few years until refurbishment and five years at Boscombe. She was later based at an apprentice school in Farnborough before some ten years at the Southend Historic Aircraft Museum. To her current home in 1983.
Scout dispenses bandages and cotton balls to wounded campers and cookie salesgirls. He takes his job very seriously. Deep down, however, he longs to be a rock star. He volunteered to perform at Band Aid but the producers just laughed.

Scout was in a Shelter in Arkansas and was slated to be put to sleep but was then transferred to a "No Kill" shelter in Colorado. She was adopted by Allison and Andy (Niece & Nephew-in-Law). She is a very sweet, gentle and smart dog. She now has a forever home with Andy, Allison and two other dogs (Hank and Rosie).
