This is the front of my schedule/calendar. I was quite confused and sad at that time. It's great to have pictures of my best friends on the cover.
South West Service to Manhattan and back. Heritage Corridor to Joliet. Rock Island back to the city.
September 12, 2011 - Town of Keene: Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announces the ahead of schedule reopening of Route 73, which had been closed as a result of severe damage sustained by Hurricane Irene. In the Town of Keene, the Governor was joined by local elected officials and Department of Transportation Commissioner Joan McDonald for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the highway’s reopening.
Wright State University Education Fair & Interview Day activities culminate in formal interviews at school district booths.
Wednesday morning, 30 Bestway workers in Falls Church, Va. organized a one-hour work stoppage from 9a.m.-10a.m in response to management's refusal to recognize their union and ongoing harassment and retaliation because the workers supported unionization. Bestway has retaliated against employees by cutting hours, changing schedules, one-on-one interrogation meetings, and threatening to call ICE on the El Salvadorean staff.
After more than two weeks of the unbearable work conditions, 20+ employees were told that they were fired and threatened with arrest for engaging in concerted union activity. Workers have vowed to remain on an unfair labor practice strike until Bestway management ends all retaliation, reinstates all employees, and recognizes their union.
Pevensey Castle is a medieval castle and former Roman Saxon Shore fort at Pevensey in the English county of East Sussex. The site is a Scheduled Monument in the care of English Heritage and is open to visitors. Built around 290 AD and known to the Romans as Anderitum, the fort appears to have been the base for a fleet called the Classis Anderidaensis. The reasons for its construction are unclear; long thought to have been part of a Roman defensive system to guard the British and Gallic coasts against Saxon pirates, it has more recently been suggested that Anderitum and the other Saxon Shore forts were built by a usurper in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to prevent Rome from reimposing its control over Britain.
Anderitum fell into ruin following the end of the Roman occupation but was reoccupied in 1066 by the Normans, for whom it became a key strategic bulwark. A stone keep and fortification was built within the Roman walls and faced several sieges. Although its garrison was twice starved into surrender, it was never successfully stormed. The castle was occupied more or less continuously until the 16th century, apart from a possible break in the early 13th century when it was slighted. It had been abandoned again by the late 16th century and remained a crumbling, partly overgrown ruin until it was acquired by the state in 1925.
Pevensey Castle was reoccupied between 1940 and 1945, during the Second World War, when it was garrisoned by units from the Home Guard, the British and Canadian armies and the United States Army Air Corps. Machine-gun posts were built into the Roman and medieval walls to control the flat land around Pevensey and guard against the threat of a German invasion. They were left in place after the war and can still be seen today. Pevensey is one of many Norman castles built around the south of England.

It was here that William the Conqueror made the landing in his invasion of England in 1066 after crossing the English Channel from Normandy, France.
Although, my schedule has gone a little to pot over the past weeks I do like to keep myself a little organised!

Mariah Carey - Bye Bye
Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1969 or 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. In 1990, she rose to fame with the release of "Vision of Love" from her eponymous debut album. The album produced four chart-topping singles in the US and began what would become a string of commercially successful albums which solidified the singer as Columbia's highest selling act. Carey and Boyz II Men spent a record sixteen weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995–96 with "One Sweet Day," which remains the longest-running number-one song in US chart history. Following a contentious divorce from Sony Music head Tommy Mottola, Carey adopted a new image and traversed towards hip hop with the release of Butterfly (1997). In 1998, she was honored as the world's best-selling recording artist of the 1990s at the World Music Awards and subsequently named the best-selling female artist of the millennium in 2000.
Carey parted with Columbia in 2000, and signed a record-breaking $100 million recording contract with Virgin Records America. In the weeks prior to the release of her film Glitter and its accompanying soundtrack in 2001, she suffered a physical and emotional breakdown and was hospitalized for severe exhaustion. The project was poorly received and led to a general decline in the singer's career. Carey's recording contract was bought out for $50 million by Virgin and she signed a multi-million dollar deal with Island Records the following year. After a relatively unsuccessful period, she returned to the top of music charts with The Emancipation of Mimi (2005). The album became the best-selling album in the US and the second best-seller worldwide in 2005 and produced "We Belong Together," which became her most successful single of the 2000s, and was later named "Song of the Decade" by Billboard. Carey once again ventured into film with a well-received supporting role in Precious (2009), and was awarded the "Breakthrough Performance Award" at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

N614UP Boeing 747-8F @ EAST MIDLANDS AIRPORT with the last scheduled flight for a 747 of UPS into EMA Departing for Cologne , Friday 15th July 2022
Last Thursday I was scheduled for training, Use of Force, which consists of ground fighting, kicks....blah, blah, blah.... I was ready.... let me set it up for you.....It was a hot day, I didn't drink water, and I had a long sleeve shirt on.....
We were practicing kicks.... I was holding the bag while my partner was doing the kicks.... the room was starting to get hot... "KICK".... the room started to spin... " KICK."... over and over again....... my partner said..."are you ok?" I said, "yes"..... "KICK" "KICK"
I put the bag down....said to my partner maybe I need some air..... I made it to the door.... the room started to spin again.... it was getting hotter and hotter.... the next thing I remember was seeing floor and being eye level with boots....all around me..... HOW EMBERASSING... I fainted.
My work called an ambulance and paramedics.... they made me leave by ambulance.... "just to get checked out"...... grrrrrrrrrrrrr
the emergency room doctor came in..... He looked like he was 12.... I'm not kidding it was funny.....anyway he asked the regular questions..... he ordered some blood work.... the nurse couldn't find my vein.... she said it was because I was dehydrated.... and as you all know I HATE DOCTORS, HOSPITALS.......EEEK... I wanted to get out so bad......
My friend Rachel who also was a trainer in that class came into the hospital room with my purse... I told her..... I need my camera I have to document this for Flickr... :o)
Anyway... lesson learned.... drink tons of water and don't wear long sleeves on a hot day. (smile)
