On Saturday, October 20 the 7th Annual Save-A-Limb Ride, Walk and Festival took place at Oregon Ridge Park. Participants took part in a 6, 15 and 30 mile bike ride or a 1-mile family walk. Guests included Chris Horner (Winner of the 2011 Tour of California), Robbie Ventura (Professional Rider and Tour de France Commentator), Earl Cole(winner of Survivor Fiji) and the Maryland Batman!
The money raised from the event will help individuals around the world who experience joint ailments and limb deformities.

On March 16, 2011, Members of Congress and their staff participated in a CPR & first aid skills training hosted by the American Red Cross.
