yes, he made the save. I wish I shot this slightly slower to get the movement of the ball from right to left; but then again I'd be upset that the goalie was blurred, so I'll take it. lol
Of the family photos I took for a friend, we only managed to get 2 where everyone was looking at the camera and smiling. Of the 2, the flash didn't fire for one and my friend's eyes were closed in the other.
It took about an hour but this is a section from the family photo, before on the left, after on the right.

I took a few macro shots of corks today in hopes to get you all to save the corks for Valencia's foundation that raises funds for student scholarships. I wrote more about it on my blog: www.amandakern.com/blog/2009/10/save-the-corks/
If you're interested in participating here's the info on how you can help donate your corks to help students in need:

Of course you can also donate your corks at Valencia's annual Taste for learning event:
And they're holding a silent auction to help raise funds for student scholarships too:

May 22nd 2010 - Outside BBC Broadcasting house in London.
My girlfriend and I love BBC 6music. So much so that we went on a 450 mile road trip just to attend a protest outside BBC Broadcasting House in London.
There isn't much time to tell the BBC that the decision to close 6music and The Asian Network is wrong, the consultation ends on the 25th of May. Click here to find out what to do.
“The BBC can’t possibly close 6 Music, what will happen to the best new music and passing on the knowledge of old music? What other station plays bands like The National and then follows it with Curtis Mayfield and then the Beastie Boys? It's just wrong to even consider it, it will make fewer young people want to listen to the radio and therefore less new stuff will happen, sort ya heads out please.”

Sabrina Jones & Seth Tobocman painted these stencils on the floor @ Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space. She is wearing one of those #blacklivesmatter pins also. She & Seth are painting a mural @ CHARAS now.
That's what the blouse on her dress has written on it. I have no clue what that is supposed to mean.
The script used is terrible. Quite hard to read at a distance. And I wouldn't want strangers getting that close to my children if I wasn't there. That is, of course, if I had children.
Bad concept, this is.

A substantial number of people (some say over 1000) took part in a protest march around the West End, raising awareness for the potential fate of one the quaint lanes the West End is known for. This particular lane, Otago Lane, is located a few blocks east of the Glasgow University Union, and boasts several... [read more...]
Hello! She's supposed to be a mini-me, but I don't have such a big fringe, nor do I have curly ends. Parting and colour are the only ones that match!
Grocery store in Ironwood Plaza, Richmond, BC. Owned by Jimmy Pattison, Vancouver's wealthiest businessman.
I printed one out, added a few rhinestones & glued it to green poster board....not the right green tho & not straight--just trying a few things out.
On the road heading up from Newlyn towards the Red Lion pub and to Mousehole, you see this sign as you turn the corner - "save our fish!"
The sign is lit up during the Christmas period and is a constant reminder to where possible buy locally sourced fish and keep the communities active and alive. I second that.
