Casa Marin is located in the village of Lo Abarca, only 4kms from the coast in the San Antonio Valley, making it countries closest vineyard to the Pacific Ocean. Casa Marin has been described as the “Most daring and innovative vineyard” in Chile and the unique microclimate and wine variety of soils found here, give birth to a rich “terroir” discovered for the viticulture of cool climate fine wines. On the hills of Lo Abarca Casa Marin 40 hectares are planted with the following varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

“We allow natural nature to tell us when the time is right for harvesting. Our aim is to let the wine reflect the terroir where it come from and delight is with it aromas and textures”

Yam cake (even though if it doesn't contain yam) and world-class sambal. Both were exceedingly delicious.

This was great with the Chicken... since it has some citrus and fruit in it, but not too much, it complemented the chicken well.

Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc from Girard and Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc from Windsor Sonoma winery.

This is the second picking of our Chardonnay grapes. Some of the bunches were not ripe enough when we picked on the 11th of February...so this is the second picking. Add a glass of Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc to the mango chicken curry and you have a complete dinner...

I bought this bottle of Caymus Sauvignon Blanc when I was out in Napa back in August 2008. A beautiful wine when I tasted it at the winery, but unfortunately I made the mistake of hanging onto this bottle for too long. The wine wasn’t horrible, but certainly past its prime.
