We get into the vineyard early to ensure the grapes are picked in optimum conitions. The grapes are still cool after the drop in evening temperature. In the background you can clearly see the clouds rolling over the mountains from the Atlantic Ocean. It is these clouds which help keep our vineyard coller than inland areas. Genius. Glad we've finally been able to get hold of wines from Mahi - has been well worth the wait. Notably different to the other Savvy we've had from them. Went very well with our barbie lamb roast. Who says you need to have red with red meat?

One of the best producers in Sancerre Alphonse Mellot is a great promoter of young and up and coming producers. Alphonse has long made excellent whites and over the past decade his reds (from Pinot Noir) have improved immensely.
