Screenshots from my phone. I was worried that my works apps like Sametime would not work. Everything is working fine after the upgrade.

The ICON UK 2018 conference took place in Birmingham Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of September 2018.

ICON UK is the former UK Lotus user group. It’s focused on the IBM Collaboration Software platform (IBM Notes/Domino, IBM Sametime, IBM Connections, Websphere etc).

The speakers are IBM customers, users and partners, as well as from IBM and HCL, the new partner who is doing the development of the ICS portfolio.

It was a fun conference, with a lot of useful stuff. I delivered my lecture “30 tips about IBM Verse,” IBM’s webmail and calendar interface.

Here are the photos from this year’s event.

This little guy is a male Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. I took this photo this morning out my dining room door window, I only cropped off the top just a tad, I was going to try to get a little wider shot so I could include the rest of his tail but this guy was REALLY close to the Window and my camera, I used my 12-60mm lens pressed up to the glass so he was only about 2-4" away from the camera. If I backed up or moved to much I was thinking that he would fly away.... as it turns out he didn't.

My mother-n-law got my wife this little bird feeder that hangs by 2 little suctions a few weeks ago, My wife decided to hang it on our french doors that face the back of the house.

So this morning I wake up to my alarm clock going off like I do most days, For some reason I thought today was sunday so I kinda just took my time getting out of bed..... So I walked from my bedroom toward my kitchen area I walked by the french doors in our Dining room like I do just about every morning, Only this time, this little bird was sitting there and decided to smack the glass with his beak which made this lound bang noise. Thinking back now it probably wasn't all that loud, but it was when I walked by the door and I was standing in front of the door...... It scared the CRAP out of me. LOL So after that little incident I remembered I had to go Pee and at the sametime I realized I was late for work and it was monday. So I guess thanks for scaring the S#@!* out of me Bird.

If you want to check out some more info on these birds check out this site.

I went back to the Engage conference this year and when my Italian friend Roberto was giving a presentation about the open source website OpenNTF I took this. It turned out to be really cool by accident.

The Caraiman Monastery of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is one of the newest monastic hearth of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.

The begginings of the monastery were made in 1998, when the PF Teoctisc blessed the hieromonk Gherontie Puiu to raise here a wooden hermitage.

The wooden church was sanctified in 2001.

It was also built an "agheasmatar" (building next to a church, used for the sanctification of the holy water) and a series of modest cells.

The patronation of the church is the Assumption.

In 2008, the small hermitage becomes a monastery.

Today, a massive wall church is also finished and consecrated, dedicated to the Exaltation of the Cross.

In my pictures of 2005, you can clearly see the "hard" church and the bell tower under construction.

In the middle of the monastery, there is a fir-tree cut by a storm, in which it was found the face of the Virgin Mary, tree in the shape of a giant chandelier.

On its top, there is a white cross that light at the nightfall, at the sametime with the public illumination of the town of Busteni.

Inside the wooden chapel, built around the great tree, the trunk is closed between four wooden walls, each side being adorned with icons and the Holy Cross.

i swear, i didn't photoshop my hand on top of the pic. i was there. as i sat there, with my feet dangling, in the last few minutes that machu picchu was open that day, it felt almost like i could touch it. it felt somewhat surreal. at the sametime i knew i was looking at something spectacular. turns out that not too long after it was voted as one of the top ten new wonders of the world.

what was even more interesting was that we got talking to these people there, a group of retired americans that accompanied a scientist on his studies of machu picchu. they were telling us how the guides there were describing stuff that wasn't entirely accurate; that many aspects of the site such as the stones were more precisely cut and more ancient than the general site. i have since forgotten the name of the scientist they mentioned and also what they specifically said, but it was interesting to know that my feelings about the site are shared. it is a mysterious place.

On the bus, i saw this student right out the window. He is ridding on his bike at the sametime trying to dial a text message! Amazing.

hobby stock and Akiba hobby are both very big on introducing figures

(maybe that’s why they got sample figures…)

這兩個網站都算是大的公仔介紹網站,這也是為什麼他們可以拿得到免費樣品,不像瘦熊要掏自己的血汗錢來買….

Her "M" face is very sexy, rather seems getting hurt, she seems yawning.

(That's the facial expression that made men think "no means yes"! )

"No, I don't like this. It don't feel good..." isn't it confusing if you get those word from this facial expression? Gee, Kaiyodo designers are genius to think this deep...............

Which is perfect for her charector: a queen. She seems careless of opponent's attack and faked her "getting hurt".

At the sametime this face fits her class, the upper class-- to be attitudinizing, but here, in a nice sexy way. This face and the plan face is my favorate 2 face of Menace, which I found a bit difficult to add something extra but not to ruin it's own well balanced beauty. So, here I just emphasis the original facial expression a bit and add Egyption makeup, that's about all.
