The Perkins Building was designed by Luther Perkins and was built in 1890. It was home to the Condon National Bank from 1890-1916. The building became famous on October 5, 1892 when the Dalton Gang tried to rob it and the First National Bank. Noone had robbed two banks at the sametime. After a 15 minute gunfight with local citizens, 4 of the 5 members of the gang laid dead along with 4 citizens Emmett Dalton, the lone gangmember to survive was sentenced to life in prison in Lansing, Kansas. After 1916 the building became home to a feed store, an opera house, and the Dallton Museum. In 1972, the city of Coffeyville purchased the building and work on the exterior was completed in 1992. Interior restoration was completed in 1997.

Maybe that is difficult for his but he has a target and he know what he can do..

Alex and I wokeup REALLY early again so we could go blueberry picking. Its one of my favorite things about the summer and i think its weird that there arent really any blueberry farms in NC. Anyway, we get there and the gate is closed but it says nothing about being closed. Well, we park outside gate and walk in with our buckets in tow. Lots of yummy blueberries to be picked. We'd been there for a little while and all of a sudden BAM! my whole body hurts. A wasp got my finger AND my foot. At the SAMETIME! damn flying things. Anyway, they didnt give me any warning at all just BAM we want tohurt you. I didnt even hear the little suckers. Anyway, so... that hurt and to top it all off i dropped my bucket. Very sad. Anyway after ten minutes of freaking out i calmed down and the swelling in my foot/finger went down alittle i continued to pick. Boy was I scared though. I ended up with3 lbs and Alex ended up with 7!! Im more picky about my blueberries than she is. I like em big! After having talked to a few local folks about the wasp stings they said that the farm closes in July due to the wasps. Apparently they are pretty bad and territorial.. who knew.

The ICON UK 2018 conference took place in Birmingham Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of September 2018.

ICON UK is the former UK Lotus user group. It’s focused on the IBM Collaboration Software platform (IBM Notes/Domino, IBM Sametime, IBM Connections, Websphere etc).

The speakers are IBM customers, users and partners, as well as from IBM and HCL, the new partner who is doing the development of the ICS portfolio.

It was a fun conference, with a lot of useful stuff. I delivered my lecture “30 tips about IBM Verse,” IBM’s webmail and calendar interface.

The First of Many Self Portraits!

Rest stop and the last time I'll be in cellphone coverage for 48 hours. I sent a couple of texts to say I was going out of phone coverage then told them to wait until my next text in two days to say that I was safe - until then I was on my own. It's a little spooky but also quite fun at the sametime - it really is disappearing off the radar for a few days.

My knees have bark and stuff on them from kneeling on the ground setting up the mini tripod!

The Perkins Building was designed by Luther Perkins and was built in 1890. It was home to the Condon National Bank from 1890-1916. The building became famous on October 5, 1892 when the Dalton Gang tried to rob it and the First National Bank. Noone had robbed two banks at the sametime. This shot was taken during my trip to the Gomukh in the Gharwal Himalayas during this summer. I wanted to travel upto the Tapovan, I had planned the whole trip only because I wanted to see the mighty Shivling peak in the light of the setting sun. It's pitty that i couldn't make it up. But due to lack of Oxygen in the high altitude I had to turn back from Gomukh. I was feelling like 80% of my stregth has been diminished. I was having severe headache, dizziness and was feeling like vomitting. I have taken rest for half an hour near gomukh, thought I could make it upto Tapovan. But I couldn't.

While I was coming back I sat a while to take a look of the Peak and was so sad that I couldn't make upto the Tapovan. After sometime I realised that I was so lost into myself that I haven't realised that I have spent more than 30 minutes to look at the peak. I don't remember what I was thinking. Even I have forgotten about me. I was sad yet I was happy. I have never felt this kind of deep sorrow and happiness at the sametime. I can't remember those 30 minutes, yet i can't forget them.

But one thing I know for sure, I will try again within next couple of years.

Yamato Scrub Boca Raton Fl

Walking past a scrub oak I noticed movement and stopped to see. It was a brown anole (lizard). I reached out to touch it and it moved just a little. Which seemed strange, they usually race off. At the sametime it moved I noticed movement diagonally to the right in another scrub oak. Even though it looks like its watching me, its really concentrating on the lizard between us. It seemed to me that the lizard was well aware of the snake and vice versa.

This moron takes the cake. Obstructs 2 parking lots and breaks the law at the sametime. To some, double yellow lines are there to help them align their cars during the parking process.
