The Benelux IBM Collaboration Software user group's conference, Engage, took place in Brussels May 14th and 15th in 2019. The venue was the awesomely cool museum Autoworld, with a huge collection of vintage cars and vehicles.
The conference is centered on the collaboration tools from IBM, like Notes/Domino, Sametime, Connections and others. It also deals with third party tools that interacts with these systems, as well as general talks on user adoption, development and administration.
Over 400 people were at the conference, and as always it was a wonderful opportunity to meet old friends, make new friends, engage in discussions, learn, teach, make contacts, make deals and just having a good time.
In this photoalbum I've gathered photos that I took during the conference, dinners and a few from the trip to the world famous Atomium building.
Enjoy the photos!

One hand the child clings to his parents hand yet he has those lovely carnations he wants to give to his dear teacher upon coming to class. Isn't that lovely?
I went back to the Engage conference this year and when my Italian friend Roberto was giving a presentation about the open source website OpenNTF I took this. It turned out to be really cool by accident.
The annual user conference for HCL Digital products (HCL Notes/Domino, Connections, Sametime, Domino Volt, Volt MX and other products) took place in Bruges in Belgium on May 24 and 25 2022.
Once again Theo Heselmans and his lovely wife Hilde pulled off a spectacular event. There was food, there was beer, there was a guided tour of the beautiful City Hall in Bruges, there was beer, there was the opportunity to learn, there was beer, there was the opportunity to teach, there was the opportunity to connect with more people and... oh yeah... there was beer (if anyone had told me I would fall completely in love with a fruity beer, I would have said they were joking, but I had at least five of those on Tuesday).
You can read my blog posting about the conference here -> domino.elfworld.org/restyling-with-the-young-at-engage/
Coming back from the market over the 127 bridge.(most of these are out of a taxi)
Went to the mountains lastnight took some snaps!! What they take for granted here is awesome to my eyes. Its very fast paced on the streets but very enjoying at the sametime. People rely on public transportation here alot.....and some have their own-ie-car,truck,bike,horse,motorcycle,transmileno(buses on a HOV lane style) and reg. buses. And of course pics dont do it justice!!!!

The ICON UK 2018 conference took place in Birmingham Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of September 2018.
ICON UK is the former UK Lotus user group. It’s focused on the IBM Collaboration Software platform (IBM Notes/Domino, IBM Sametime, IBM Connections, Websphere etc).
The speakers are IBM customers, users and partners, as well as from IBM and HCL, the new partner who is doing the development of the ICS portfolio.
It was a fun conference, with a lot of useful stuff. I delivered my lecture “30 tips about IBM Verse,” IBM’s webmail and calendar interface.

I am so happy!! This is the first time I have seen Blue Jays in My Neighborhood!! In over 13 years!! Every time I set out peanuts, they would take turns grabbing them. Then I see them both out there at the sametime> My camera went Blue Jay picture crazy!! They are fast, so I only got a few good shots!

There are two parallel locks. The Evridiki G, has just entered the lock. Each lock is 110 feet (33.53 m) wide and 1,050 feet (320 m) long. This determines the maximum size of a ship that can use the lock. As you can see this size of ship has no problem and a pleasure yacht is also using the lock at the sametime to be lowered. You can see a closed gate at the lower left of the photograph. These are huge, 82 feet (24.99 m) high and 7 feet (2.13 m) thick. The two leaves on each of the gates are 65 feet (19.8 m) wide.
