Always wear a life jacket when working around water

^^ That's the Coast Guard motto. The M. Charles M.B. Coast Guard boat in Steveston, pulling into the marina, with Mt. Baker in the background.

This vessel was named after Seaman Martin Charles, S.C., M.B., of Bamfield, British Columbia - to read the full story go to www.canada.ca/en/news/archive/2014/06/acceptance-ccgs-m-c...

What is black and white and red all over?

No, seriously, the lack of parachute and a helmet to attach the "Witch" plate makes me wonder if Suito doesn't have a secret death wish.

Blog | Instagram | Facebook | A Korean welder substitutes the usual glass safety visor for knock-off Ray Ban's and a towel. Much as the Republic of Korea prides itself as being a modern, developed nation, in much of its health and safety regulations it falls well short of the standard we've come to associate with other OECD members. The bbali-bballi (hurry-hurry) psyche, much as it has been responsible for great strides forward, would now appear to be holding the nation back. 2014 will always be remembered as the year the Sewol sank; a plethora of neglected precautions would later surface in the sordid aftermath of the ship's demise.

I'm a Chrysler mood today and they were well represented at the Brampton Street Rods cruise night. Check out this late model Dodge Challenger decked out in race safety car trim !

After a quick trip from Coddingtown Mall, this Route 48 to Petaluma via Santa Rosa Transit Mall is waiting to make a turn towards the County Center. This particular run is one of the slower runs of the day, as the driver is always running on the "safety first" policy.

As part of the "Creating Balance" project with Anglepoise Lamps; University of Portsmouth and Strong Island I've been shooting at the forge of designer blacksmith Pete Clutterbuck. Whilst he was being interviewed yesterday, the Legographer took his chance to grab a couple of men-at-work shots.

Doorway to the sorting room and basement of the Post Office in Gary, IN US. The entire floor was covered in a thick sheet of ice, you could literally ice skate in this place..

The light was pouring in from the broken windows in the above floor. Initially, I was not all that interested in going into the basement, but my shooting partner talked me into it and I was very glad I went!

This was a high ISO shot, like many of the shots of that day, I had a tripod, but, it is far easier to get around without one..
