This was a large handsome specimen, when open I would estimate 9-10 cms across the cap. I did not pick it.

LSL,BAU and OSO at the LC2 yesterday.Weather has been poor all week, one of the busiest of the year for coaches visiting.
The only one left without a dragon!! KWZ was parked up on Gorseinon Rd,Penllergaer this morning, exactly where I used to catch the bus to school 40 years ago now.
1975 saw me start the first year in Penyrheol Comprehensive which was then based at Loughor.D Coaches had the contract and the first day Bedford VAL FWT 444C,new to Wilson,Stainforth with a Panorama 1 body turned up.I don't think that Morris Bros' first Volvo had arrived then though wasn't far off. What can I say though.Buses had always existed for me though with the variety I was then seeing I soon became more interested.More interested in them than I ever was in school to be honest though that's another story.
D Coaches seemed to send something different every day.Strange,Flesh Coloured Bristols were occaisionally replaced by lovely modern coaches.A few old ones too. Then came the fleet of Edinburgh Titans, smart in their traditional colours and like new buses compared to the MWs,LS's and Lodekkas. One ex- Edinburgh Titan came via Creamline,LFS 423 and there was also a mighty ex-Oxford AEC Bridgemaster,306 MFC,which sounded as if it could carry the world on it's shoulders.
Other Schools used the stop too.Morris Bros had an ex-Bryn Demery,Morriston VAL/Plaxton NWN 786F which burnt out later - shame as that was a nice motor too.Blueline were using a Bedford VAM/Duple FAW -D on a run to St Michaels whilst Peter Smith,Garnswllt had a varied fleet, including ex-Scottish AECs HMS 241 and JMS 50.Leicester ABC 195B,GBC 199D plus ex-Green Bus Seddons RRE 862/3L and MRF 393L amongst others. It's not the same these days though 40 years on and I'm still hooked.I don't regret a minute of it either!!
On 23rd January 2017 at Masters Crossing 43188 Y Cmro/The Welshman at rear of LA15 with 43187 leading heads east towards Fairwood Jc working 12:56 Plymouth - Paddington. SWT 159001 City of Exeter working 12:50 Waterloo - Yeovil Pen Mill.
