The elephants roll the branches in their mouths to remove the bark, then they just drop the branch and pick up a new one.
Fun to watch them twirling it around in their mouths.
These are some of the orphans who are being raised at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's Nairobi Nursery. The nursery is where the orphaned baby elephants are initially brought to be raised among other orphans as well as by their amazing keepers. They remain in the nursery until they are old enough and ready to move up to one of the Reintegration units where they will eventually return to the wild. The SWT has a wonderful foster program where you can "adopt" an orphan (or two) www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/
