In 2003, Stadtwerke Bonn took 15 of these Bombardier Flexity SwiftStadtbahn cars to the Köln K5000 design, including the dreadful hard blue plastic seats (other Bonn cars have fabric seat covers). This example, in advertising livery (for "Topaddressen-de-Stadt") is coupled to another fussily decorated car in the view in the Stadtbahn tunnel at Bonn Hauptbahnhof.
Im September 1978 fand auf dem Betriebshof Friesdorf ein Tag der offenen Tür statt. Der Betriebshof Friesdorf wurde 1892 als Teil der Straßenbahn Bonn-Bad Godesberg-Mehlem in Betrieb genommen. Er liegt zwischen den Haltestellen Max-Löbner-Straße und Hochkreuz. Bis zur Eröffnung des Betriebshofs in Dransdorf waren hier Schienenfahrzeuge stationier – heute die gesamte Busflotte der SWB Bus und Bahn. Die Zufahrt aus Richtung Godesberger Allee wurde mittlerweile zugebaut.
