There always seems to be one or two photo's in a folder that I've monoed for one reason or another, and ignored. Here are a few taken along the Severn Valley Railway (what a surprise), in the early months of 2016.
"Classics Weekend"
The Severn Valley Railway is a heritage railway in Shropshire and Worcestershire, England. The 16-mile heritage line runs along the Severn Valley from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, following the course of the River Severn for much of its route, and crossing the river on the historic Victoria Bridge.
Ex GWR tank engines 1450 and 7714 have just breasted Eardington bank in style during the SVR spring gala with a Kidderminster to Bridgnorth service.
GWR Large Prairie No. 5164 approaches Highley with a Bridgnorth bound train. At times she sounded like a cannon being fired over the Valley, not bad for an engine nearing the end of her boiler ticket! Enjoy her while you can as it seems she may have quite a long time being static.
