Haven't had time to go to the bridge for a while. All done up this weekend for the Global Rugby Tens taking place at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

The children did a "Walkabout, Talkabout" and came up with all the ideas for Where, When, Who and What could happen in a story.
They now use the display to help them chose characters, seting etc for their story writing.

This is the story of Twilight the Bearer of The Last Lantern.
Born in a world swallowed by darkness, the young boy scrabbled and scratched around in an abandoned house searching for magical books called "match-books" for his "match-day". The day of his birth when a match is lit in the darkness for a brief moment to see the world and the passage of time. But on this day, young Twilight found something else... He found hope.
Now he must journey to the last city with only the Lantern of Hope to light his way, staying the ever-encroaching darkness at bay.

The ghostbus is back.
Having departed this world nearly three years ago with the stench of Covid-19, the original ghostbus tour of Dublin is back, scary stories, graveyards & churches in a night time 2 hour tour of the city's murky past.
There's plenty of ghosts & ghouls lurking on O'Connell Street in the hours of darkness.
Ghostbus "Lucy " is seen on the first evening of the return on 13th September 2022 on O'Connell Street, operating three times a week at 7 & 9.30 pm....if you dare.
Telling a story in a photograph is often one of the hardest things to do. Creating an image that lets the viewer come up with their own story is what I aim for. On this evening in the Roan Highlands, the Milky Way rises over the trees as a roaring campfire on top of Round Bald lights up the trees. It was so nice to be out under the stars again.
This is the beginning of a series that I hope to share with you all for the rest of my life: dedicated to the beauty, importance and preservation of black life. These are stories of the untold, that may not be glamorous or extravagant, but its real, bold, black and beautiful. Love.

Today's story and sketch by me, #1401 is another story about ghosts arriving here on this Tropical Volcanic Planet we call Budahunga. Last evening another Ghost, and an apparition in the form of a Scarecrow arrived, along with what seems to be a dead or nearly dead ancient oak tree. Deputy Oroski just arrived on scene and will momentarily squirt the ghost and scarecrow with The Rescue Randy, silver nitrate, and Budahunga Tar solution, which will turn them into mere lumps of dirty laundry. Sadly Dirty Laundry, Scarecrows and the ancient Oak tree will be stories to follow up another time, until then Tata the Rod Blog.
A story is told as much by silence as by speech.
