Mining hydrogen in Saturn, the vessel extracts gas via the dorsal vents, processes it and fills pressurised cylinders stored in the white forward bulkheads. Robot arms then off load the cylinders onto docks on Ceres station.

Initially she had longer booms but I think it looks better nice and short. And god how I hate trying to take photos and edit them!

In the waning days of the Galactic Republic, Kuat Systems Engineering produced a series of compact luxury yachts.

The starship was marketed towards the wealthy businessman who liked a bit of piloting action himself.

It had the agility and speed to keep up with even the better starfighters of that time. While still providing the comfort one might expect from a luxury yacht.

(There used to be a jacuzzi on board).

To make all of that possible the craft is propelled by three rather large engines, one integrated in the tail and the other two mounted one on each side.

The fuel consumption however is ridiculous.

Naturally, achieving the performing stats of an X-wing on a craft that weighs at least 4 times as much comes at a cost…

However, somewhere around the forming of the Galactic Empire, this particular ship found its way into the hands of a bounty hunter (probably stolen).

To suit the profession better the ship underwent some serious modifications.

These mostly involve adding armament and removing unnecessary features.

(such as the jacuzzi mentioned earlier).

A dorsal mounted cannon allows for fending off pursuers, a considerable part of the living space behind the cockpit was sacrificed to fit a military grade deflector shield generator in order to be able to withstand some serious enemy fire and the rear observation segment was filled with various tracking equipment and a cloaking device, making it well-capable to make itself invisible to most scanners.

Seems like KSE is a most suited supplier of bounty hunter ships.

This MOC is actually the successful marriage of two WIPs I had laying about.

I’ve been wanting to do some more starship building and was looking into renovating this previously build ship. But I soon realised it was in such a bad shape that I might as well start over again. So I did.

I had a lot of features I wanted on the ship and not all of them made it.

No functional boarding ramp alas but it does have all the flaps, vents and greebles I like.

I think this cover turned out really good. Its different from the rest of my covers, I wanted to try something new. What do you think? Comments?

Detail images of the SHIP:

Sun over gazabo, B&W conversion

These are some details of the Royal Starship, including its stowing boarding ramp and landing gear

Cleverly cloaked as an East Penn Railroad ex-PRR high hood GP9. The warp drive is cleverly cloaked as an NS coil car. OK, no excitement, just an old GP9 hauling freight to Kloeckner Metals in East York, Pa

Rear view of the abandoned Starship Pegasus, which sits adjacent to IH-35 in Italy, Texas. The yellow streaks across the back of the image are from an 18-wheeler pulling out of the Shell Truck Stop to camera left, heading back to the highway, at right.

Night, 1/2 moon with a large & very well lit Shell station to camera left, and blue & purple strobes, and red spotlight on the tails of the tubes. The challenge with this shot was to paint the tubes, pop the strobes (with gel change), get back to the camera and close the shutter...all within 45 seconds!

Steve Howe came through for me and played my one and all time favorite Starship Trooper. Ten minutes of heaven, and my concert was complete. Been following Yes since 1971, can't remember exactly how many times, probably 6 or 7 times. First saw them at the Forum in Inglewood in 1971.

The Shot

Still in a futuristic space travel mode. This is the canopy over the entrance area to the EDF building in the Paris business district of La Defence. It looks just like the undersides of the Saucer Section of the Enterprise. This was taken on a fairly miserable drizzly evening. I set up Camera and Tripod under the shelter of the Canopy.

The picture was taken with a Tripod with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom at 15mm. 3 raw images 2EV spacing for HDR. Opened in Photoshop first and each image noise reduced with Noiseware Pro and saved as tiffs.

The HDR was created using Photomatix and additional enhancements in Topaz adjust and adjustment layers in Photoshop.

Long past novelty, long past obsolescence, starship Emerita is the last of an era. Engines ignite, and the traveller departs. The hermit seeks a new home.

This is another shot from my last London Day Trip. This was taken at Southwark on the Jubilee Line. Each station on this line is different but all with a futuristic look and this one perhaps most of all. I have taken images before here looking directly up the steps so decided to try a more side on composition.

The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A700 with a Samyang 8mm fisheye lens. I took 3 pictures for HDR. As Tripods are not allowed I used ISO 800 to get a fast enough shutter speed of 1/20 second for the 0EV shot.

Processing was done in Photomatix using the fusion Real Estate for a natural look. This was followed by Topaz and a Black and white adjustment layer in Photoshop for the mono conversion. The scene had little colour anyway apart from looking too green and I thought it worked quite well in mono.

This guys chrome Pulse Rifle is so cool.

These are the continuing voyages of the science vessel Vanderbelt. Currently on assignment in the Vega Delta Cluster extracting large heavy metal deposits designated for star ship hull construction. Once the miners have secured the metal deposits aboard, scientists begin to examine the purity of the metals to determine whether or not they can be used for hull construction. - www.mocpages.com/moc.php/399970

The starship ISS Jellyfish features an advanced Alcubierre Drive. The four ring-shaped exotic matter generators create the Casimr vacuum required to propel the vessel at superluminal velocity. The ship's structure glows blue under the influence of Hawking radiation, creating an uncanny resemblance to a Moon Jelly glowing under ultraviolet light in an aquarium.

I post the Latest in Artificial Intelligence News and Art.

Created using MidJourney Version 6 Alpha.

A closer shot of the very first orbital flight test for Booster 7 and Ship 24. Viewing from Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island.

Made for SHIPtember2020 in advance. 30 day goal to translate LEGO design and building techniques from real world to digital.

Like the 2019 entry, Archimedes is built around a gravity wheel. In this design the wheel is a spiral cylinder that terminates at the hub. The rear of the SHIP is focused on propulsion, attaching a theoretical fusion drive fed by a particle accelerator and helium injectors. Hanging below is the bridge deck and hanger bay featuring 2 dozen small fighter class ships and 8 shuttle craft. The components are joined via a double spiral at the hub. The hub is a fully functional train wheel hub from set 42082 carefully assembled and added to the SHIP.

Concept, planning and behind the scenes: www.twitch.tv/videos/661256640?t=00h00m58s

Assembled in Studio; rendered in Blender.

Estimated at 27131 parts 99% are available parts- the other 1% are color transgressions for design and lighting FX.

Notes:

Based on a spiral design using the LEGO plate a-Frame (present in many of my plant based MOCs. 8 A-frame Plates make a full circle, the cylinder contains about 3.5 spirals; the rear thruster uses 6 for full 8 sided a-frame circles.

The fusion effect is done using a free floating illegally colored a-frame circle within a 2 other a-frame circles.

There is a path that runs the length of the spiral. The river flows end to end and has return flow (via sewer).

Waste is turned to fuel for fusion drive energy.
