This was taken on a "lightbox" made up of a clear plastic storage box, colored Christmas lights and parchment paper. This was one of several different setups provided by a guest speaker at our camera club.

My take on a very slightly updated Constitution Class starship. I wanted it to be mostly true to the original Matt Jeffries design but tweaked just a bit to modernize it.

Teasel - Roadside Plant series
Having Teasel in your yard is like having a resident ballet troupe available for your visual delight. This plant is at the pre-bloom stage. Each of those fine hair-like extensions are will get a pink hue which will then be followed by small pink flowers from those same soft spikes. Their unique leaves are wonderfully expressive, creating a choreography that is a joy to see each day.

Deep in the unlit crannies of space, the starship Emerita drifts amongst the stars. Invisible to civilization, and missed by no one, the craft contains but one resident. Its path has no pattern, no wont to its movements.
