I have wondered for years about this old building in Star Valley, Wyoming. It has been abandoned as long as I have been visiting the valley, and now it is being crushed by the huge snowpack the valley gets every year. I haven't been able to find a word about it in histories of the valley, but I did learn there were nine creameries in Star Valley in the 19th century. Perhaps this was one of them.

There were a few plane flights overhead as we are on a flight path. a few faint lines are satellites criss-crossing the night sky.

I bribed my son to accompany me last night (and protect me from any night creatures, lol) while I did some night star trail images using an interval timer. This picture is a combination of 100 images.

Star of Bethlehem- Ornithogalum umbellatum is a total garden thug in my yard. Popping up in the flower beds and the lawn. I have no idea how they spread so quickly. Since they come up in the flower beds, they are hard to remove without disturbing the plants I want. These are trying to take over a stand of Coreopsis by our front walk.
Yes, they are pretty but so invasive! They were here when we moved in and in 11 years I have not been able to get rid of them!

The BSA Gold Star has a few nicknames, the most popular of which is "The Star".
