The first dish I made for the New Year was a Bok Choy soup, which called for a couple of star anise pods. They make an interesting macro shot. This is a seven-shot stack.

The Macro Mondays theme is star to honor a long-time member and admin who passed recently. You'll be greatly missed, Hans.

The photo, high key exposure, and desaturation was all done on my iPhone. The total frame is about 1 inch. I will place a measurement photo in the first comment box later.

A 30 minute long exposure during a trip at Tzoumerka, Epirus (Greece). It's my first exposure lasting over 10 minutes, and the result just fascinated me!
