Transforum stand at the exhibition which is taking place during the 2014 Annual Summit of the International Transport Forum “Transport for a Changing World” in Leipzig, Germany.
Two NSFs from the Public Transport Security Command (Police Force) keep watch over the exit of City Hall MRT interchange.
It was a big event, with millions of public pouring in to pay their last respect and yet, you did not notice any complains about the queue, security etc online. A large part of this is due to the officers (SCDF, SAF and SPF, amongst many others) on the ground whom work tirelessly around the clock to ensure everything is in working order.
Today, a large number of officers were deployed to ensure the Mr. Lee's final journey proceeds safely. A group of these officers are actually volunteers, whom took time off their schedule to serve under the rain for the journey.
Singaporeans always complain about reservist, yet when asked to volunteer for a day's event which will not count towards their reservist count, they will be there.
Rain or shine.
