Day 341 - Just an idea that came out of nowhere....

The wave action Sunday morning was pretty wild. I have never seen waves that high in South Florida*. But even so many waves didn't make it anywhere near where we and our tripods were. So slowly we moved close to the waters edge... and closer... just to have to grab our tripods and make a run for it when I wave came up higher than expected. We were laughing so hard. One time we ran and thought we were save just to look down and see the water touching our shoes.

*I didn't make it anywhere during Hurricane Sandy back in October. From pictures I know the waves were even higher then, actually came over the pier.

The iconic Half Dome stands tall over the meadows of Yosemite valley. On a perfect spring afternoon in California, my first visit to Yosemite National Park. Only had half a day to take in the views, but it was worth the wait.

I saw it in a garden in Tokyo.

Though it was taken, a photograph was the feeling that I was used to.

I think these are Zinnias. The pink ones seemed to stand out among all the rest and didn't want to just be part of the background. I like to be the pink zinnia!
