Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
Theres still time to change the road youre on.
And it makes me wonder.
(Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin)
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
"And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll
And she's buying a stairway to Heaven"
("Stairway to Heaven" from the album "Led Zeppelin IV", 1971)

I thought I could remove the line from an old song that has been stuck in my head for the last few days by taking a photograph of it. Nope, still there.
Today's photo manipulation for PicsArt's daily remix challenge. I absolutely love how this turned out. Momma wanted something “heavenly” so I shall deliver exactly that!…. See… darkart isn’t the only thing I can make look good😂😉😁

I can now upload high resolution files from my new camera: Yay! The extra pixels were more than my DSL service could handle, and today I got a cable connection at 10x the speed.

English south coast just after sunset - near Beachy Head Lighthouse (you can see it in the distance if you look closely)....
Yes it is another Lez Zeppelin inspired title
"...there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run

(Stairway to Heaven, perhaps I unconciously was inspired by this recent upload from Scott www.flickr.com/photos/ksgarriott/9563615801/)
This photo was taken near the end of January this year, on a beautifully crisp, clear, and snow-free winter morning, out near a huge furniture warehouse where I had driven out to to pick up Lisa and I's new kitchen table and chairs.
Getting this set of photos edited and uploaded has been nagging at me ever since I took them, so, three months later, here they are...more to come over the course of the day.
Here you can see out over Western Calgary out to the magnificent Rocky Mountains, which are always an amazing sight to see on those clear days where you feel you can just look on forever towards the horizon.
The title is part of a line from Led Zeppelin's immortal and historic Stairway to Heaven.
The full line goes:
There's a feeling I get, when I look to the West...
And it was the first thing to pop into my mind when I saw this incredible mountain view.
I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Stairway had just finished playing on the car radio as I was parking...
Hope you all have an excellent upcoming week!
It's well known that the Hogwarts Express leaves Kings Cross railway station at platform 9¾; less so that one of the escalators at Kings Cross underground station is actually the stairway to Heaven...
For the 52 Weeks of Pix group, this week's theme, stairs
I'm just looking for an angel with a broken wing.

The Conciergerie is a former prison in Paris, France, located on the west of the Île de la Cité (literally "Island of the City") presently mostly used for law courts. It was part of the former royal palace, the Palais de la Cité, which consisted of the Conciergerie, Palais de Justice and the Sainte-Chapelle. Hundreds of prisoners during the French Revolution were taken from the Conciergerie to be executed on the guillotine at a number of locations around Paris. A splendid Gothic palace. The Salle des Gardes (Guards Room) and the immense Salle des Gens d'armes (Hall of the soldiers), built under King Philip the Fair, still remain from the days of the medieval palace, as do the kitchens built under King John the Good. From a Royal residence to a Palace of Justice. The Kings of France abandoned the palace at the end of the 14th century to settle in the Louvre and in Vincennes. It then took on a judicial role, and part of the palace was converted into prison cells. Revolutionary prison. The Conciergerie became one of the principal places of detention during the French Revolution, with the installation of the Revolutionary Court. Its most famous prisoner was Marie-Antoinette. During the Restoration, a commemorative chapel was erected on the site of her cell. www.paris-conciergerie.fr/en

Amanita Muscaria mushroom at the edge of the temperate rain forest and the ocean shore in Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island.
A poisonous and psychoactive fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Native throughout the temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Speculation is it may have been the soma of the ancient Rig Veda texts of India.
The "cruiseliner ship " staircase, but the only cruising around here in usually at 40,000 feet in the air.
This grand staircase is located at the front of the A380, while a much smaller & less decadent spiral staircase is situated at the rear of the superjumbo.
There were plans to do away with this grand design to a more conventional stairs & create about 20 more seats in future plans, but as stairs go, this really is step this way.
British Airways have been begun operating their A380's again since grounding during the Covid-19 pandemic, using them on daily trips to Madrid & Frankfurt, a real treat for enthusiasts during November/ December 2021.
Special thanks to Sophie, Marie & Philip, BA cabin crew for taking great care of me that day, what an experience.
Great to see the A380 back again #WelcomeBack

Standing on top of a concrete structure at the top of the Haiku Stairs.....A.K.A.... "The Stairway to Heaven".
Here's a small section of the stairs. The average slope was perhaps 45°, but there were sections of perhaps 80°. At that point, the stairs are basically a ladder straight up the mountain. Given the massive exposure (if you slipped, you would fall for a LONG time), I don't see the stairs being opened to the public anytime soon.
