It doesn't look much but I've admired this view all of my life. For many years I used to pass here on my way to work, very often with the sun rising over the far horizon. The church is St. Chad's which was re-built in 1543 although a church has been on that site for many years previous. The white cottage nearest to the church was once the Blue Bell pub. The whole terrace is now one residence. If you look carefully you may be able to spot headstones on the crest of the field (it's a big graveyard. Well I suppose it would be given how long the church has been here). Taken with my phone so lacking a little detail.
London St Pancras , and the wonderful architecture and clean lines lend themselves very well to a tilt shift lens.
Saint Julian's is a town in the Central Region of Malta. It is situated along the coast, north of the country's capital, Valletta. It is known for tourism-oriented businesses, such as hotels, restaurants and nightclubs which are centred mainly in an area known as Paceville.

Built by order of Pope Leo X, it has been a Protestant cathedral since the Reformation and its congregation forms part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany.
St Kilda is one of very few UNESCO World Heritage Sites that qualify for both its natural and its cultural importance and this is the cultural bit. The island's inhabitants existed for centuries living off seabirds with a little fishing and a few crops. But after the First World War most of the men left the island, and a series of crop failures and an influenza outbreak led to the island being abandoned in August 1930. Here you can see the abandoned street curving away, although the first three dwellings have been restored by National Trust Scotland. The first two are for volunteer accommodation and the third is a museum. You can also see lots of stone "cleits" which were used to store seabirds for eating during the lean winter months. St Kilda is situated about 40 miles west of the Outer Hebrides, so not an easy place to get to. It is the most important seabird breeding site in Britain supporting more than a million birds. From two years ago. It will be blossom time again now, but I took a bunch of photos then and am not sure what I could do differently now. We shall see.

St. Lawrence provides a haven of peace and tranquility in middle of the busy city centre of Winchester. Tucked away down a little side alley it is easy to miss but of historical importance.
The only surviving parish church of Norman foundation within Winchester’s city walls, St Lawrence is referred to as the Mother Church of Winchester. When a new Bishop of Winchester is about to be enthroned in the Cathedral, the first stop is at St Lawrence Church, to be presented to the Mayor, clergy and citizens.
There was a church on the site before the Norman conquest, and it was incorporated into William the Conqueror’s palace as the royal chapel. Both were destroyed by fire in 1141, during the civil war of Stephen and Matilda, and St Lawrence Church was rebuilt in about 1150. The church has an unusual square design, and also a fine 17th-century ‘king-post’ roof.
The church was badly damaged by fire in 1978 and after restoration it was re-opened in 1980, with seating for about 120 people.

Ungefähr dort, wo das St. Annenufer auf die St. Annenbrücke trifft, stand ursprünglich die St.-Annen-Kapelle, die 1566 als Begräbniskapelle für den St.-Annen-Friedhof errichtet worden war. Diese Begräbnisstätte, die zum Kirchspiel St. Katharinen gehörte, nahm die Opfer der Pestepidemie von 1564 auf, die auf den übrigen innerstädtischen Friedhöfen keinen Platz mehr fanden. Der Friedhof wurde 1812 aufgehoben. Die Kapelle fiel erst 1869 der Verbreiterung der Zufahrtstraßen zum Sandtorkai zum Opfer.

St Michael's Church is situated on an industrial site between gas holders and a railway line in Church Road, Garston, a district of Liverpool .
The first church on the site was built in 1225 , and the second in 1715 . The present church was built between 1875 and 1877 and was designed by Thomas D. Berry and Son . The church has a historical connection with the Norris and the Watt families of Speke Hall.

Set high on a hilltop overlooking Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland, this barrel-vaulted 14th century chapel was built by the monks of the nearby Abbotsbury Abbey as a place of pilgrimage and retreat. Today the chapel still sits in splendid isolation. Make your way up the hill, take in the fantastic views of the abbey ruins, and explore the nooks and crannies of this curious little chapel, including the ‘wishing holes’ where local women used to pray to St Catherine and ask her to find them a husband.
