It is a 19th-century castellated baronial-style mansion, formerly known as "St Brides Hill" or just "Hill". It was developed for William Philipps (1810–1864) in 1833 from an 18th-century house on the site.

The Hauptwache on a roll of very badly expired Fuji Super G 100 - the negative images were extremelly faint, making digitalizing a challenge. Well, according to Wikipedia, Super G was replaced by Superia in '98.
Asahi Optical Co. Pentax MX and SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.4, expired Fuji Super G 100 developed by Foto Express on the Schweitzer Straße and digitalized using kit zoom with macro rings.

There is a long and interesting story about the development of this project which I can recommend, found in the book on the religious architecture of Belluschi titled, 'Spiritual Space' by Meredith L. Clausen (1992). One also learns about the influence of his MIT colleague Eduardo Catalano, who, at the time, was doing a lot of research about structures with 'warped surfaces'.
It really would have been great if the glazing at the corners would have been done to allow the massive supporting feet of the roof to have been more visible (here, one barely sees a hint of the foot, but only if one really looks). On the other hand, it then might have been too bright inside.
One of the many nicknames this structure has is the 'washing machine', which only makes sense if you are aware of the 'agitators' in top-loading models common in the US.
This small Norman church stands near to the River Stour and has a notable ornamented south door, fine Norman chancel arch, and a unique 15th Century font.
Gifted to Cluniac monks in the reign of Henry I, the interior has a cycle of wall paintings dating from about 1280 which includes an early depiction of St Francis of Assisi and an unusual nativity sequence.
A public footpath runs through the churchyard.

St Mawes Castle is an artillery fort constructed by Henry VIII near Falmouth, Cornwall, between 1540 and 1542.
St Katharine Docks, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, were one of the commercial docks serving London, on the north side of the river Thames just east (downstream) of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. They were part of the Port of London, in the area now known as the Docklands.

St Etienne est la préfecture du département de la Loire. C'est aussi la ville aux 7 collines donc forcement on trouve des escaliers un peu partout... Ici se sont les escaliers qui relient le cimetière du Cret de Rock au centre ville...
St Cyrus Nature Reserve is just north of Montrose on the east coast of Scotland. For those resident in the UK this beach featured on the BBC programme Countryfile a few weeks ago and this is what inspired me to go up there. It was well worth the effort. The sunrise lit up those rocks as if they were gold, it was a magical sight.

Die St. Moritzkirche ist eine dar ältesten Sakralräume von Augsburg. Die Gründung eines Klosters erfolgte bereits im 11. Jh. und die verschiedenen Vorgängerkirchen sowie die Umgestaltungen in den jeweiligen Zeitgeschmack füllen
ganze Bücher. Letztendlich zerstörten die Bomben des 2. Weltkrieges die barocke Fassung der Kirche die dann, vereinfacht wieder aufgebaut wurde. Die letzte Sanierung und Neugesteltung des Innenraumes fand dann in den Jahren 2010 - 13 statt. John Pawsons Ziel war es den Kirchenraum eine neue Form der Klarheit und des Minimalismusses zu geben.

Whgen you drive into St Mawes you can almost smell the money! Several years ago it was reported that St Mawes had more millionaires per head of population than anywhere else in England. Whether or not that is still true I don't know, but it certainly retains an upmarket feel with several outstanding hotels and many beautiful houses and gardens.
St Mawes sits in a sheltered bay on Cornwall's beautiful Roseland Peninsula, opposite the town of Falmouth which is on the western side of the Carrick Roads. A regular ferry across the river estuary links the two towns.

Church History
Built in 1864 as a chapel to Bowdon: St. Mary. In 1873 it became a district church for part of the township of Dunham Massey (previously served by Bowdon: St. Mary). The boundaries of "The Disrtict Chapelry of Saint Mark, Dunham Massey" were described in the London Gazette on 17 January 1873:
