SS France was a Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (CGT, or French Line) ocean liner, constructed by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard at Saint-Nazaire, France, and put into service in February 1962. At the time of her construction in 1960, the 316 m (1,037 ft) vessel was the longest passenger ship ever built, a record that remained unchallenged until the construction of the 345 m (1,132 ft) RMS Queen Mary 2 in 2004.
France was later purchased by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) in 1979, renamed SS Norway and underwent significant modifications to refit her for cruising duties. She was renamed SS Blue Lady and sold to be scrapped in 2005, and scrapping was completed in late 2008.

The MR-UR-100 Sotka was a MIRV-warhead intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed and deployed by the Soviet Union from 1978 to 1993. The missile was given the NATO reporting name SS-17 Spanker and was built under the Soviet industry designation 15A15. An alternative designation for the missile is the UR-100MR. Wreck of the SS Paiaka, built 1888, sank 1906 in Fitroy Bay between Pencarrow and Baring Heads. Brought ashore in 1987 and now a memorial to all those who have lost their lives in the seas off Wellington.

SS United States is a luxury passenger liner built in 1952 for the United States Lines designed to capture the trans-Atlantic speed record.
Built at a cost of $78 million, the ship is the largest ocean liner constructed entirely in the U.S., the fastest ocean liner to cross the Atlantic in either direction, and even in her retirement retains the Blue Ribbon given to the passenger liner crossing the Atlantic Ocean in regular service with the record highest speed.
Her construction was partially subsidized by the U.S. government, since she was designed to allow conversion to a troop carrier should the need have arisen.[6] United States operated uninterrupted in transatlantic passenger service until 1969; since 1996 she has been docked at Pier 82 on the Delaware River in Philadelphia.

Full disclosure: Of all the SS dolls, I was least interested in Ghoulia. This is a bit unusual in that I normally join the zombie horde of Ghoulia fans quite happily, but come on. She's in a line with Gil (!), Lagoona, and the second version of Abbey. She's bound to have shuffled to the bottom of that list anyway, yes?
Which, naturally, explains why I found her first. Gave me a few days to truly appreciate her for her own awesomeness. I like the fact that her hair is much shorter than usual and while I was a bit nervous about the makeup prior to getting her, I think it works pretty well.
I do not care all that much for her coverup/skirt. It's cute in photos but in person it frustrates me.
