Shieldhall is a ship that was built in Glasgow and completed in 1955. It was one of the last steamships to be built and was a sludge boat treating sewage sludge at sea.

In 1976 the ship was purchased by the Southern Water Authority and would take sludge from the Solent. In 1985 it was decided to preserve the ship and the first voyage of the ship was conducted on 9 June 1991.

The ship is now owned by the Solent Steam Packet Limited which is a preservation society operating as a charity.

SS Dominator - While the remains of the ship stayed intact for a number of years, many of the leftover pieces are now scattered over half a mile of shoreline. A large amount of the wreck now lies underwater off the coast.
