This tiny butterfly made his appearance the other day, but seemed to prefer my carport instead of all the plants and flowers in my yard.
So, I grabbed my camera and laid down on my stomach to get some shots not sure how they would turn out, and really really wishing it had wanted to land on something a little prettier than the cement floor of my carport.
I believe this is a Spring Azure.
Crocuses / Krokusse (Crocus purpureus), Wiesbaden.
Although it might be hard it's important to enjoy the little things in life these days - little things we take for granted, like these purple crocusses blooming in a park where we can visit and enjoy them whenever we want.

Another shot from the archives...
So different from what we got last Saturday. Given the choice I think I prefer smooth reflections over clouds in the sky. Of course reflections AND clouds would be best. :-)
Miracle has found a new spot for her spring shedding of white hairs!! DD assured me that she had curried her the day before.
These were just mountains of the spring mountain range here in southern nevada. I was up by the Mt Charlston lodge and thought the light was beautifully just wish there were some clouds in the sky.

Charles Spring is located near Dowling Park, FL. It is a Suwannee County park which is open for swimming. The spring is surrounded by dramatic limestone formations, which divide it into three different pools. Upon reaching the Suwannee River, only a short distance away, the river makes a tumble of around 4 feet at normal water levels, providing a rare waterfall in the state of Florida. Charles Spring is also a very historic site, with legend holding it as the place where Spanish conquistadors crossed the river years ago. A ferry was operated at this site during the nineteenth century.
I had a lovely encounter with this fine looking Roe Buck in the meadow yesterday. He looks in fine condition as we head towards the rutting season which starts in a few weeks for this species.
